For many years, I've seen it, I never got inside, one day I got invited for a party! The small terrace is amazing, you are in the center of the bund, I had great times. I went another day for a coffee, the indor looks dirty and service so so.

First time I went here was for the TICT Rooftop Party. Music here is good but not great (depends really). Ive been here 3 times already and twice of those is whenever I have friends or family that I want to show around for the views of The Bund and Pudong Skyline without going to the tourist route. Once there,... More

The best place to party or chill during summer time. View is amazing, good music. Sometimes on Saturdays they have parties organized. 100 times better than glamourous bar/lounge. Fresh air, good music, good drinks and chilled people. Will be there soon!!!!

Atanu is a cool little bar right on the Bund. Great place to stop for a drink or bite to eat. It is a pretty small, cozy place with couches and bar tables and a perfect 2nd floor view of the Bund and Pudong. Sushi is great too!

Atanu bar is located in the former Signal Tower, that usd to provide weather reports for Shanghai. More than that, it’s right on the Huangpu riverside, and opposite is the Bund. I guess, the bar in this location is a perfect place to drop in any time – for a coffee or spirits, depending on the season. Nice decoration: a... More

Staying in The Bund

Neighborhood Profile
The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai International Settlement run by the British and Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has endured over time and is now found in the five-star hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive restaurants that can be found within the historic buildings. A cultural center has built up away from the water and some of Shanghai’s best art galleries and museums are housed close to the Bund. Nighttime views of Pudong and the rest of the city also make for a great backdrop at the many rooftop clubs.
