Went to this place solo while traveling through Shanghai. It is in a great location the food was pretty tasty and the staff was easy to work with. Prices were reasonable. Just like the name, it is a family style restaurant.

Busy family restaurant in a side street off the Bund. Be prepared to wait for a table. This restaurant has many dishes. I chose braised beans with pork, crab and a spicy chicken. All were good.

Good food, delicious, and very reasonably priced. A far cry from any kind of Chinese you will have eaten in the UK, using traditional recipes and fresh local produce. The seasonal vegetables, (pak choy) were amazing as was the braised pork.
