Went to this place solo while traveling through Shanghai. It is in a great location the food was pretty tasty and the staff was easy to work with. Prices were reasonable. Just like the name, it is a family style restaurant.

Shanghai cuisine is more local and traditional style. Price is OK too. It is quite popular and thus crowded, but the services is social. I think this is because of the servers' age and the place is too busy. Lots of young females servers doesn't...More

Busy family restaurant in a side street off the Bund. Be prepared to wait for a table. This restaurant has many dishes. I chose braised beans with pork, crab and a spicy chicken. All were good.

It's on a corner and you can't enter anymore after around 9PM. Food is great. Staff speaks enough English and their menu is also English. A lot of Chinese people but also a lot of tourists, probably because of the LP recommendation.

This is a very lively place. Delicious food. Don't know what to order? Just look around at what's being served and you will see the favorites. Everything we ordered was excellent.

Second time visiting and did not disappoint! Good Chinese food, crispy beef being my favorite! Quick service, the only downside is the waiting time.

Good food, delicious, and very reasonably priced. A far cry from any kind of Chinese you will have eaten in the UK, using traditional recipes and fresh local produce. The seasonal vegetables, (pak choy) were amazing as was the braised pork.

The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the
world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous
waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts
monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai
International Settlement run by the British and
Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has
endured over time and is now found in the five-star
hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive
