After three weeks of Chinese food this restaurant was the perfect meal before we moved on to a new city. I actually loved it so much i went twice, the first time was a girly night out and the second was a month later when...More

Yes, it’s a fantastic location on The Bund with spectacular views; yes, it’s ultra “trendy”; yes, it’s expensive! But, after three or four visits the menu is looking all too familiar. My “Istanbul Lamb Shank” was greasy and over-sauced. Frankly, a bit disappointing!

We has a wonderful dinner with friends only to have them put through our bill in $s instead of the RMD. The result was being converted at a worse rate than if we charged in RMD and let our bank do the conversion. Make certain...More

The waiters were such good hosts and very knowledgeable about the menu, it was refreshing being treated so nicely in Shanghai for a change. Would definitely go back. Great location to either have drinks before or after your meal nearby

We tend to order a la carte when it's not a degustation only menu to experience as many dishes with flavours and a blend of meats and fish that we enjoy. It was all good and very different. Actually we over ordered but loved it...More

Definitely a favourite restaurant in Shanghai and will recommend always! Food of course is incredible, staff friendly and know the dishes well. Portions, especially if you opt for their set courses are generous. Atmosphere here buzzes without being too stuffy, a great place for parties...More

'm used to going to expensive and sophisticated restaurants, and I'm usually not surprised at the bill. In this case, however, what they charge is absurdly expensive for what they serve. Not that the food is bad, it's not. On the contrary, it is good,...More

This was sadly the worse dining experience during a 10 day trip to China , even more sad was the fact that it was on our last evening before flying back to Europe. Booking and reception at/for the restaurant was good and fast . We...More

The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the
world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous
waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts
monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai
International Settlement run by the British and
Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has
endured over time and is now found in the five-star
hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive

Description
Mr & Mrs Bund – Modern Eatery by Paul Pairet. A modern French eatery. Relaxed chic atmosphere, heritage Bund location.Mr & Mrs Bund is French, in the manner of Chef Paul Pairet: born, traveled, and globally stamped. Contemporary, but not stuffy. Relaxed, without sacrificing an ounce of chic. We serve populist French favorites, through Pairet's looking glass. Service is family-style, recast for a modern table, and the wine list includes 32 wines by the glass. We riff on classics, we dish up comfort cuisine, and we serve it just like you would Sunday night dinner – sharing-style, and with plenty for seconds. It's a straightforward menu that takes simple French classics to start, and then let you add and play. Mash-ups: not just for potatoes and DJs anymore. Hours: Dinner: 5:30pm to 10:30pm (Monday to Sunday); Late Night Supper: 11:00pm to 2:00am (Thursday to Saturday)Accolades: No.43 in 2013 & No. 76 in 2014 by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants & 51-100 list; No.7 in 2013 & No.11 in 2014 by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants
