I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking to have a high end dinner on the Bund. The view is the best thing about this restaurant. Considering the rent they must pay, the prices aren't too bad. Two of us each ordered a glass of wine, an appetizers, and an entree, and paid about $100 (US dollars). The food... More

Nice ambiance. Good services. And the food is very unusual taste. We have a different experience in taste that we said all is a good food. But the price is pretty high.

Mr and Ms Bund is my favourite restaurant in Shanghai. They have aaaamazing food and even for an affordable price (some of the dishes). Of course one can splurge in there, but you will also love it if you search for good price / value. Definitely leave space for the desserts which are excellent. The French Toast is a MUST.... More

By far, the best restaurant we visited in Shanghai. This place has a wonderful selection of wine and dishes. All food was great. Ask for a table near the window, so you can enjoy the view of the Bund as well as the financial center across from the water. This restaurant is in a 5th. floor next to the water.... More

Delighted to land a reservation at Ultraviolet's "sister restaurant" located at the Bund, and we were not disappointed. The two restaurants share the same passion and vision, but differ on delivery, and how could you not. One is a lavish 4-hour mature, multi-sensory destination, the other a more 'accesible' option for those with accessory limitations built into their itinerary. That... More

Description
Mr & Mrs Bund – Modern Eatery by Paul Pairet. A modern French eatery. Relaxed chic atmosphere, heritage Bund location.Mr & Mrs Bund is French, in the manner of Chef Paul Pairet: born, traveled, and globally stamped. Contemporary, but not stuffy. Relaxed, without sacrificing an ounce of chic. We serve populist French favorites, through Pairet's looking glass. Service is family-style, recast for a modern table, and the wine list includes 32 wines by the glass. We riff on classics, we dish up comfort cuisine, and we serve it just like you would Sunday night dinner – sharing-style, and with plenty for seconds. It's a straightforward menu that takes simple French classics to start, and then let you add and play. Mash-ups: not just for potatoes and DJs anymore. Staying in The Bund

Neighborhood Profile
The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai International Settlement run by the British and Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has endured over time and is now found in the five-star hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive restaurants that can be found within the historic buildings. A cultural center has built up away from the water and some of Shanghai’s best art galleries and museums are housed close to the Bund. Nighttime views of Pudong and the rest of the city also make for a great backdrop at the many rooftop clubs.
