Good any time of day! We tried all sorts of these soup dumplings and I really liked the shrimp one, although all of them were delicious! The entire family enjoyed this meal. On top of the delicious treat, it was cheap eats!

There is full soup inside the dumpling, when you eat as hot, be careful and do not get burn, just put it in the spoon and bite a small hole to drink the soup first.

We dropped in for breakfast? on our last day in Shanghai and had the tastiest soup dumplings I have every eaten. They were fantastic, with the right amount of filling and soup, just be careful, the soup is boiling and you can burn your tongue!

I came to this place as it was recommended on my Lonely planet book. They have pork , vegetables and shrimp dumplings , for less than 5 dollars you can eat plenty of food. Each order comes with 4 pieces , you can watch as the cook fries the dumplings to golden brown perfection . Take a bite and slurp... More

Every year when my wife and I visit Shanghai, we must have a meal if Yang's dumplings. They are golden brown, crispy and soup filled that savor in your mouth. We've tried many places but always return to Yang's simply the best!

I went to yang's dumplings following TripAdvisor's advice. I was expecting a little shop on the street like on the picture but they relocated inside a food court. It's now much more modern. You can expect to see a lot of people there during meal times. I tried their original dumplings (pork) and they are delicious, and very juicy (be... More

My husband and I went there on a Monday evening. Our meal consisted of 3 orders of dumplings and 2 orders of soup for less than $10. Everything came piping hot and was delicious. We were part of the dinner rush so the place was packed with families and people arriving with friends. We were able to share a table... More

I think this place is a chain. We found this branch in a shopping precinct. The food's good (if you like dumplings), but that's where it ends.

This is a place when I am a little girl, my dad would take me. I miss the old taste, now that they are a chain store, not so interesting. Still a good deal and would recommend friends visiting shanghai to try.

Their dumplings is a must try in Shanghai. They have shrimp, vegetable and pork dumplings. We had pork dumplings and their specialty the curry vermicelli soup. Their dumplings are very juicy, be sure to ask for a spoon if you do not know how to eat them the proper way.

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
