The Grill on the 56th Floor in the Grand Hyatt Shanghai is outstanding. There are 4 restaurants on the 56th floor (The Grill, Cucina, Kobachi and Patio Lounge) and you can if fact order from anyone of them. We just went for the Grill. You have a choice of a number of meats. We went for the Australian, Grain fed.... More

We did the Italian buffet which was expensive for its quality. Drinks were nicely done and worth the prices(high). Pizza was not good. views and would choose for alternative to one of the packed view decks.

Recently had dinner there after arriving from the United States. Service was weak but the food was pretty good. Wine options were very limited for such a high end hotel.

On my first stay at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai, thought I'd check out one of the hotel restaurants, Cucina, at On 56. First, I got stuffed at a lousy table with no view since I didn't have a reservation. OK, maybe I needed to think ahead, so not so bad. Second, I sat there for 15 minutes with NO service,... More

What do you expect from a place that will charge you upwards of 500RMB per person for a main dish, one side and 2 drinks? Well, a lot more than what The Grill will offer. I'll break it down to make it crystal clear: 1. View: Fantastic, we went on a clear day and got a magnificent sunset and view... More

ON 56 is a collection of three restaurants on the 33 strory of the Grand Hyatt hotel. We had dinner at Cucina, the Italina restaurant of ON 56. The view is spectacular and that alone was worth while the visit. The food was prepared well but did not blow me away. The sea bass was nice but not very warm.... More

Worth it for the view which is excellent. We ate at the Italian Cucina in one of the 3 restaurants for lunch. It's just as well there was hardly anyone else there as service was incredibly slow. Plus it took 3 attempts to get white wine spritzers - the waiter eventually got there with big apologies though. The beef carpaccio... More

Four of us had the special set six-course dinner there this evening and were wowed by the view. The service was also quick, though one of the waiters seemed to be mesmerized by the view and it was difficult to get his attention. The first few courses - foie gras, crab cakes and scallops - were well done and delicious.... More
