Dumplings the kids had earlier, did not last long and they were hungry for lunch. This restaurant stood out in its traditional architecture overlooking the Yu Yuan garden water features. Looked nice and looked pricey. Honestly, i would have preferred a street side stall. But...More

We went there last on Wednesday (couldn’t get a table the day before as President Xi was apparently dining there) with a couple of business associates. The atmosphere in the restaurant and surrounding areas was great and the dim sum was one of the best...More

We tried this restaurant while visiting the Yu garden. The price and quality were very good. Most of the staff does not speak English but we had no problem ordering food and drinks, including a Tsingtao Stout beer! To be honest, for the location and...More

With Michelin Recommendation, we wanted to check this place out and see what the restaurant is. It is located in the middle of the tourist attraction, it may seem to be touristy or tourist trap but it's not. The pricing is reasonable too and dishes...More

An amazing evening where we dined in the room queen Elizabeth had eaten many years ago. We were being entertained by my sons new Father in Law and this was the place he chose for the family dinner. The room is on the top floor...More

Had a fantastic lunch here. Worth the wait (I recommend coming early). The food was so fresh and simple but still had layers of flavour. Really inexpensive as well. Lots of vegetarian options! Great service.

Located in Yu Garden commercial precinct one would be suspicious that this restaurant in a faux ancient Chinese tea house was a tourist trap. In fact it has a Michelin bib and the food is authentic Shanghai food. The dumplings, grilled pork, asparagus with mushroom...More
