The last reviewer seems to have a gripe with Din Tai Fung in general. As well travelled gastronomes, we think Din Tai Fung have got it bang on the nose! Whilst not understanding the Chinese language limits our opportunities, for visitors like us, who have...More

The headline says "featured ad Authentic Culture in Shanghai". This cannot be any further from the truth. This is a Taiwanese chain, with a location in the most artificial downtown area. The China pavilion in EPCOT is probably equally as authentic as Din Tain Fung...More

Came for the dumplings and they are the best ever. Great service, most staff speak some English, very efficient and friendly service. We returned several nights later for more dumplings, and chose other dishes on the menu as well. All delicious, and extremely good value....More

My kids' favourite place. Nanjing Xi Lu and Lujiazui restaurants are similarly good. Always busy but with friendly and fast service and there's nothing bad on the menu. Xiaolongbao, fried pork, even the rice is a cut above. Sour and spicy soup is the best....More

Had a nice lunch here. Place was crowded as usual. Had to wait 10 mins for a table. Good service, excellent dim sum. Good duck spring rolls. Went based on tripadvisor reviews and was the right decision.

This is a must do food option. A great chain dumpling store where everything is freshly made and delicious. A good lunch or light tea choice and great for kids

I'm addicted to DTF's XiaoLongBao - and the Xintiandi branch didn't disappoint. Probably more westerners than locals (unlike the one we visited in Beijing) - but always a good safe bet for a snack or bigger meal.

We went to 2 Ding Tai Fung - one near the Temple (Yu Garden) and one next to Portman Ritz Cartlon. The latter one is much better in terms of cleanliness of the restaurant, seating, service, and food quality. The fish soup and the dessert...More

The refurbishment of a block of old shikumen into a
carless entertainment center called Xintiandi, filled
with restaurants, shops and bars, turned this area
below South Huangpi Road into one of Shanghai’s most
fashionable areas. Luxe condos house people who can
afford the high-end brands that fill the malls and
shops along Madang Road. The pleasant Taipinghu Park
provides the area with green space and is also home to

Ding Tai Fung does not post their prices online. The queue could be long during meal times, however, they would give you a menu to order ahead of time. This list would indicate the prices to you. It may be slightly more... More
