Overall very positive

Food in general is very good, some dishes more distinguished then others. Atmosphere is good, bit romantic. If you reserve a table in front of the window, you'll have a great riverview spot. One very negative point: people are allowed to smoke inside at the bar. Very strange with some of these... read more

We joined on a Sunday for their Brunch tapas set menu. The pricing was very affordable for a 6-course set menu at 175 RMB plus a hundred for a free-flowing Cava (for 2 hours), which is a great deal in the Bund area of Shanghai. Great atmosphere and a very good view of the Bund. There is a mellow live... More

One of my favorite restaurants in Shanghai. I love the atmosphere, the service and food is really good. You also have a fantastic view over the bund.

OK, the bund will never be cheap, but the view justifies it. As for the food, it's wonderful. I grazed through the Willy Tapas section of the menu, which is somewhat 'twisted' takes on classic tapas (also on the menu, but not sampled). Universally excellent. The octopus with potato, crispy bacon and paprike aoli, and the scallop cheviche were standouts.... More

Took a date there last night and it was on point. The food was incredible, the ambience was terrific and the overall experience was great. Great location to kick off your evening. Will hit this up many times to come.

One very negative point: people are allowed to smoke inside at the bar. Very strange with some of these delicate dishes... Not of this time anymore!!!

Located on The Bund, this place has a spectacular view of the Huangpu riverside. Be sure to ask for a table by the window. Food wise, it's great. Had a seafood platter and shared that with my companion. It was worth every sent paid. The lobster bisque was superb though you got to drink it while hot. This place has... More

Definitely high quality and enjoyable food. Especially tapas. Paella correct but not that awesome as tapas. Expensive as everything in the Bund.

We had an amazing lunch at El Willy on a Monday afternoon. Decoration is really cool and the manu is great. They specialize in spanish tapas, but I would say they are cooked and presented in a very modern and stylish way. Everything was excellent!

We were looking for a place for our last night in Shanghai *though I am sure we will be back soon) and discovered this listing through Trip Advisor - tried it out to our eating pleasure - a very nice resto located on the 5th floor of a restored building on the Bund - one of many but surely one... It was the perfect place to lunch with old friends. Delicious food, great atmosphere and very friendly service. The price was right and the food memorable. We choose the set menu (Catalan Week in Shanghai). And we added the option for free flow of Cava. Every dish was delicious. Maybe not so Catalan, more fusion. But fusion takes the best... More

Staying in The Bund

Neighborhood Profile
The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai International Settlement run by the British and Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has endured over time and is now found in the five-star hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive restaurants that can be found within the historic buildings. A cultural center has built up away from the water and some of Shanghai’s best art galleries and museums are housed close to the Bund. Nighttime views of Pudong and the rest of the city also make for a great backdrop at the many rooftop clubs.
