Truly a wonderful experience! My sister and I passed through on our way to Florida from Texas and were completely blown away with how lovely our experience was! Staying at this mid-1880s historic home was a true treat not only was the room was cozy...and well supplied, but the tea and breakfast was amazing! I would recommend staying here to anyone, it was lovely to be able to step back in time (with all the modern day comforts) and see what life might have been like in this grand house a hundred years ago. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful. They made my sister and I actually one of the best pots of tea we have ever had when they introduced us to their house blend. The breakfast was really tasty too and we enjoyed the scones a lot. Great company too and very accommodating to our schedule! When you stay here or come for the tea room, you are not only in for a wonderful experience, but also you get to be apart of the restoration story for this lovely Smith-Byrd home. If you come here, you will step back into time and take a moment to enjoy life’s more simple pleasures. Thank you!! 10/10 Experience!!More

This tearoom was an unexpected find - we usually go to Chattanooga, but our normal tea-date was all booked out to the end of November when we called, so we tried this place, and boy, are we glad we did! The owners are just BEAUTIFUL...people; we learned a lot about the house from them! The selection of tea is AMAZING - far and away the best I've seen since .... ever, and I've been to England! We will definitely be back, for the tea, for the food, for the value, and for the company of the knowledgeable, friendly staff!More

My husband and I had tea and stayed in the Royaltea room. Food was delicious, bed was super comfy, the claw foot tub was sublime, the hosts were so fun to chat with. We really loved our time there. Tearoom would be sweet choice for...birthdays, mom's day, anniversary, bridal or baby shower, that type of thing. Very close to downtown and historical spots, easy to find. If we lived close I'd be a regular!More

Service was excellent! The staff went out of their way to provide gluten-free options for my friend who went with me. They explained the menu fully, and graciously let us try as many teas as we liked. We ended up buying teas and gifts in...their lovely gift shop, as well. Lovely experience! Great place to take your mom, daughter, or best friend!More

I hate to give an average review bc the service was amazing. But the house needs a lot of improvement. I've stayed and eaten in many BnB's. I can believe that these old homes need lots of up keep. Upon driving up to the house,...I wasn't sure if I were at the right place bc of the overgrown foliage and lawn. You can see structural damage on the exterior of the house. We were welcomed upon entering the back door. Once inside, the house needed cleaning and decluttering. There were boxes everywhere, as if there were not enough storage in the house. The bathroom had empty toilet paper rolls. We ate in the parlor, I believe. There was a large hole in the ceiling from what looks like rain damage over time. We enjoyed the tea and warm scones with the lemon custard the best.More

My friend and I made reservations here for Tea for Two. We arrived at 10:30 and I could have stayed for hours! The selection of teas was impressive. The quiche was delicious and the fresh fruit and scones were perfect. My favorite? The Bailey's Irish...Cream brownies!! Our hostess took excellent care of us. After tea we walked around downstairs and shopped the giftshop, which was stocked with a variety of tea sets, stationery (yes!) and other beautiful items. We will be back!More

I've taken tea here several times, and I've never had anything but a positive experience. The staff are lovely, the food is always quite nice, and the tea list is extensive. Best of all, the tea comes in a bottomless pot, and you can change...flavors as desired. If you find a flavor you can't live without, they can send you home with a bag of loose tea.More

The landscaping and building need a little help, but the food and tea are very good! We came here for a bridal tea and I was pleasantly surprised by the food and tea selection. The tea with lemon/strawberry undertones was delicious!
