The Tea Room is situated inside a Bed and Breakfast. Parties are set up for wedding showers or other small gatherings. The owners are meticulous in their attention to details. It's a great place to have a small party.

My friend and I visited the Tea Room at Smith - Byrd House yesterday. We try to visit once a month, though we live about 50 miles away from it. As always, the food was delicious. We had the Tea for Two with extra scones. I had Cream Earl Grey and Spiced Pear tea. I love the Spiced Pear! Always... More

My favorite place in Prattville. The folks are super friendly and accommodating. The selection of teas rivals those in much larger cities. The food selections vary from visit to visit. All are excellent. Try to go 2-3 times a year. Location is not in a commercial center; much less traffic. Dependent on Word-of-Mouth for much of their business.

Needs major upkeep...laundry basket on staircase full of clothes that stayed in that spot the whole time we were there. Tools left on the landing of the steps, weeds, overgrown, etc. we were told some of their cats roam in the attic. Really? Innkeepers tried to be nice but really didn't want to eat EVERY breakfast with them. Sometimes people... More

The food and the services were great. That being said, this place has a potential but I think it needs a make over and a sponsor. There was a replacement screen door leaning against the wall right next to our table, ceiling has water damage and exposed, hens the moldy smells inside, cracks on ceiling/wall, no trims on a door... We went here as an exercise for our Protocol course and the SBH Tea Room stepped up above and beyond. They did a full lunch for us with multiple food courses. The food was amazing and the after lunch tea and desserts were perfect! We had over 40 people at the SBH Tea Room - more than twice the normal... More

My daughter and I had a wonderful afternoon enjoying the atmosphere, food, and tea here. We ordered the Tea For Two meal. I had the Windsor Castle tea and my daughter had the seasonal pumpkin spice chai. There was plenty of food for our late lunch - we had to take home a small box of leftovers. Our favorites were... We had the Queens tea of course with bottomless tea pot enjoyed ever bite. Almost everything is cooked in their kitchen we arrived as scones where coming out of the... More

A casual tea house with excellent leaf tea choices and delicious sandwiches and freshly baked scones. The quiche is outstanding. The on site Tea Shoppe has a wonderful array of fineries to purchase from tea pots to teacups to linens, books, teas, and much more. The owners are a delightful couple. The house also serves as a bed and breakfast.... More

Excellent food. Gracious and uniquely personal service. The ambiance of the house itself lends a true "step back in time" Tea experience.
