We don't visit the Grand Hotel without eating one night at the Wash House. Some local folks told us about it several years ago, and they were absolutely spot on. Wonderful selections, great mixed drinks, fabulous atmosphere, quiet and understatedly elegant.

What a refreshing visit to The Wash House! Our server was great and so was the food. I had the scallops and my wife had the blacken red snapper. Both were excellent!

OMG, this place is worth the drive from Daphne where we were having a 4-day business. They are known for their steaks which most people had & everyone agreed was more than true. I had the BEST grilled tuna I have ever eaten!! Everyone moaned through dinner. LOL. This place is a MUST whenever you're in the area.

The Wash House looks like a dive, but looks are deceiving! It has a full menu of choices and a very nice wine menu. My lamb chops were awesome- cooked to perfection rubbed in fresh rosemary. The steak was excellent served with asparagus and string French fries. I will return!!

Mainly locals who enjoy an upscale meal with a laid back ambiance. Food was great , service good in a very friendly room. During the summer reservations are necessary

The Wash House is a great place for families as well as a business dinner. It has a private dining room for groups of 50 -60 people.

Good steaks, shrimp and grits also good. I had blackened red snapper which was excellent. Quinton was our server and he took great care of us.

Not a broad menu but good food and friendly knowledgeable servers. Great atmosphere, steaks, and desserts. Could be more parking and it's not obvious to newcomers exactly where the entrance is. But those are minor points, it's a lovely place and dining experience.

I was expecting so much from all the good things I've heard. I was underwhelmed to say the least. Maybe it was just me, but I was not impressed with the selection of food. We had red snapper and vegetables. Nothing special. Couldn't eat the vegetables. Is dark and very expensive for what you get. I wanted to love this... More

Fairhope was one of the few places I never had a chance to visit when I lived and worked in Alabama in the 1980's. I convinced my husband to join me in a week-long vacation in Fairhope and Point Clear in April -- and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. While shopping in the town of Fairhope, we asked one of the...
