The food was subpar at best. Miso soup was subpar - tofu and seaweed was mushy as if it had sat for a long time; dragon roll was flavorless with mushy avocado and slimy eel that was over cooked. My husband ordered a BAma roll,...which was literally a roll of crunches with a small slice of salmon on top. He said it was liking eating cereal with salmon on it. I fee that the sushi was probably pre-made and not freshly made. Service was fine. Would not recommend the sushi side of this restaurant.More

This was the slowest service I've EVER had. The only reason we stayed was we were friends from and enjoyed the time to just talk. That was the only positive in this visit.

when we complained the manager was rude and did not care and said you have to pay the bill he cooked it and you was served .. so you owe the bill she didnt care we left full plates of food.. and the bad thing...is we have always went there but never againMore

One of my favorite special treat meals is hibachi but this was the worst hibachi meals I have ever had. They gained one star because our chef was very friendly, but the service was horribly slow from getting greater at the door to having our...drink and food orders taken. We were there between shifts so it may just be a scheduling issue but the bigger issue is the food. Poor quality soy sauce was obvious with a heavy chemical flavor. The fried rice was bland and undercooked. Our party of seven was drastically disappointed and even the seven year old was making faces as to the taste of the food. Truthfully, look elsewhere when looking for a great Japanese meal because this certainly falls short in service and flavor.More

First visit here. Was in town for a writers event and looked this place up on TripAdvisor and saw good ratings so off we went. The service was excellent throughout our meal. We shared the hibachi table with a husband and wife and thats it....Sweet! Our chef was funny, entertaining and cooked a awesome meal! I order my go to Japanese hibachi meal, that is fillet and lobster. Tender fillet and yummy lobster. All cooked to perfection. Fun meal and good company.More

The menu was huge and was hard to select a meal. The meals were plentiful and hot delivered to your table. If you are hungry and want some for the next day, get a to go container. It was wonderful

Enjoyed our steak and shrimp hibachi dinner as it was cooked to perfection. The shrimp was flavorful and the steak was so tender. Our server was very friendly and responsive; prices are moderate. We go here close to every week. The sushi is great, and we love the employees. They are always nice and helpful. We typically eat just sushi, but we love the hibachi side too! All around the best Japanese restaurant in the area!

If your in Oxford you must stop. The scallops are to die for! The chef did a great job! Victoria the bartender was full of great information of the area. The time she spent talking to us out of towners was worth the stop itself.

Haven’t been for a while, so suprised! all vacant tables had food and floors were dirty , waitress was rude and uncaring, salad drowned in dressing, chicken was tough, manager “on phone” assist manager had no answers.

I appreciate each review is different however I can’t believe the trend on this place is to rate high. It’s awful. The service was terrible at the non-hibachi seating area. I watched the bar tender eating a bowl of food, then go right to mixing...drinks. Never washed her hands. The server didn’t know any of the drinks offered, the beer when we got it was luke warm. None of the food came out together and the final roll was delivered at the very last min long after everything else was pushed away and we were just sitting there. Sushi rolls were gross, the fish wasn’t fresh and the rice tasted oily. Look I’m not expecting fine dining, but the server never once asked us how our meal was, or wondered why none of the food was finished. We had to wait forever for drink refills and at the end when all we wanted to do was leave she wasn’t to be found. Bad food, poor service. Get a manager to run the place, because no one else is.More

Disgusting with shrimp tails and used gloves on the floor while sitting at the bar. I would never recommend this restaurant after seeing the filth on the floor.
