The food was as fresh and well prepared as any we have had. Caesar salad, oysters, redfish, petit filet…pot au chocolate…all were exceptional! Nicely made manhattan and martini as well. The open lodge-like interior made us a bit skeptical as we entered, but Reilly’s great service and all her recommendations helped us have a memorable dinner as we stopped in Oxford on our road trip.

Very pleasant diner, service, and surroundings. We had excellent salads, roasted vegetable main course... Wine list is very good. There were several non-veg choices available. The farm to table concept makes a lot of sense... There were about right different veges in the roast dinner, cooked perfectly.
I forgot my phone and the next morning returned to the facility; the owner Dave Garfrerick was there and we had a good discussion of the concept, his farm and the quality of the staff. It was clear that he had an interest in his staff, customers, and giving us the best produce he could grow... Great spot, beautiful local art for sale and all for good value

We traveled to Oxford for a Performing Arts event and chose Garfrericks based upon TA reviews. We were not disappointed.
We started with the cheese board & roasted Brussels sprouts, which both yielded very interesting combinations along with our Tinto Negro Malbec. Between the two of us we sampled the scallops and the chicken Marsala and ended with the cheesecake, and a sampling of the three toppings.
Matthew was a delightful and informative server. We did not have time for the winery but wee assured by many it was worth the time. A place you don’t want to miss.

I traveled from Atlanta to meet friends from Gadsden (5) for dinner before a show at the Oxford PAC, Jan 31.. We arrived at 5:30 for our reservation for dinner. Our martinis were great and dinner was served, with my date and I splitting the rib eye and potatoes. I requested medium rare...and it came overcooked and pretty well done. The fingerling potatoes were not cooked and were so hard my fork would not penetrate. I asked our waitress, Emma to send them back and when they came they were still hard as a rock. With an over cooked steak and undercooked potatoes, I have decided to forego our usual dinner there next trip We've had many great meals there, but we'll pass on our next visit. Emma was great.

We arrived on a Friday evening and was quickly asked if we had reservations when we saw 2/3 of the tables were empty and pretty much stayed that way upon our departure close to 8p.
We ordered grilled red fish ($32), pesto pasta with grilled shrimp ($29) and beef filet ($29). The three of us agreed the food was good, nothing more.
If you love mashed potatoes, order the filet as the plate was full of potatoes!
We were surprised by how long it took the kitchen to prepare our meals compare to the lack of diners.
Our server Jocelyn, was very friendly but not overly attentive.

Arrived at 6:00pm, got our food at 8:30pm, left at 9. Charged us a "corkage fee" to open a bottle of wine that we bought from THEM. My bill was $138 bucks, and the food was average at best, and took oh so long.

Wonderful food and service! The Signature Salad was incredible. Thick slices of tomatoes, layered with goat cheese, corn, and field peas and the dressing was delicious. My husband had the crab cake and also the lamb with a blackberry sauce and loved them both. The pecan crusted grouper on Hoppin John is excellent. We really enjoyed our meal here and, although we were passing through on the way to Atlanta, we will definitely plan to return!

Farm fresh food served in a friendly atmosphere. The BLT salad was amazing featuring heirloom tomatoes, bacon and a light vinaigrette. We had crab cake, blackened redfish and Mac n cheese, all of which were outstanding. A wonderful dining experience.

The food was so damn delicious!
It was my first time eating in a restaurant that is allowed and not being sneaky.
My first time having wine outside of my house.
I couldn’t help but cherish this moment and stayed a little longer. Moments like these matter to the travelers of the world that sometimes can’t get bc not around their loved ones all the time. I ordered the pecan encrusted grouper along with a bleu cheese beet salad and a rice blended with veggies. Everything was delicious and fresh and made to order. Originally I got my order for take out only to learn that I could enjoy my meal inside. Which saved me from driving an hour to my hotel to be able to enjoy a meal not in my car another day. Enjoyed every morsel of that bread pudding. I can’t believe how much I enjoy that when I rarely eat bread. Anyway come here to eat, support your local restaurants and their employees. And make sure you TIP!! If you have money to eat out, tip those people that are making your food, just a PSA

The Signature Tomato Salad was awesome! Great presentation and a good combination of flavors. Very refreshing. The Chicken Marsala was also tasty, tender and juicy. My husband had the shrimp and grits which were also awesome. We were in Oxford to go hiking in Cheaha State Park and just stumbled across Garfrericks on Trip Advisor. What a delight!

Firstly I rarely do reviews. We are road tripping from Connecticut to Colorado with our black labs. Our expectations for eating along the way are low, so how great was this spot? We ordered takeout (yes, the dogs) - beet salad, warm spinach salad, crusted grouper and the shrimp and grits and picked up a bottle of Louis Metairie muscadet at their wine store. Watched the Olympics back at the Hampton Inn and consumed a delicious meal. Certainly more expensive than average, but worth ever penny. Thank you Dave!

This was an absolutely wonderful meal. I was here on a Tuesday and the place was packed. The service was impeccable. The meal was better than the service. I had the shrimp and grits and they were some of the best I have ever had. creamy grits with just enough chew and fresh shrimp that’s ere cooked perfectly. The sauce was rich, but not overwhelming. What a meal!

Called at the last minute from the Hilton Garden Inn and drove to the restaurant which was one exit away. It was in the back of a small shopping center.
We had a very nice server and had a delicious meal.

Off the main road behind some other buildings, but worth the effort to find this gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere was upscale casual, the service friendly and the food fresh with excellent flavor combinations. The Summer Tomato Salad is a stack of perfectly ripe tomatoes, peg corn and an aioli that perfectly complimented both. The tomato pie was creamy and cheesy, while the scallops were perfectly cooked. They also had a very nice wine selection. Make sure you make the time to find this gem.

Called ahead to ensure as a Celiac with dairy allergy I would be able to have choices. I did! I was ecstatic to find a fresh, farm to table place with great food and safe options for me. We both loved our meals and both expect to return...and I don't even live in Alabama! The wood fired taste was delicious. The veggie plate was excellent and the added chicken was juiciest I've ever had.
