About
Wolf Bay is a family-owned Gulf Coast tradition known for its high quality fresh seafood & local ambience. Its rich history began as a bait shop nestled in the trees along the beautiful waters of Wolf Bay and now has two locations: Foley & Orange Beach, Alabama. Many of the dishes enjoyed today are recipes from their original 1973 menu including the seafood gumbo, crab stuffing, stuffed shrimp, stuffed whole flounder and many of their salad dressings.

We have visited this restaurant every year for the past 6-7. It is in a new location that we don’t like quite as well, but it’s not terrible. And the food is still good. The wait staff we have encountered at Wolf Bay is always...on top of things and this year was no different. We had a party of five and tried a variety of menu items. Everyone thought their food was great. I had the stuffed shrimp. It was tasty and filling. The salad bar is smallish, but always well stocked and we noticed that it was being replenished often. You can pay more elsewhere along the Gulf Shores region and there are a number of good restaurants. We will definitely keep this one in our rotation.More

We visit Gulf Shores every July and Wolf Bay is one of our go to restaurants. The new location doesn’t have the ambiance of the former, however, the food is just as good. Our orders were typical - fried shrimp and the Wolf Bay platter....(Creatures of habit, I guess ). As usual, we were not disappointed. Next July, we will be back!More

Just simply pass on this place. My husband and daughter both had the fried grouper and it was very bad. The inside was sort of slimy possibly from not being cooked long enough. There wasn’t hardly any other patrons there and that was our first...clue that it probably wasn’t the best dining choice. Plentiful seating and you could tell it was a decent place at one time but has since went down hill a bit. Money wasted.More

Family of 13 visited at 4pm on a Monday. Service was poor, long wait to get orders in. Each meal comes with one salad bar visit. The salad bar is the smallest little island I gsve seen for this size restaurant and there was 15...people in line waiting to make their salad. There must be a better way to get salad to the table. When you finally get your turn to make your salad they were out of several popular toppings. I had the peel n eat shrimp, they were mushy terrible, total waste of $24. Fried fish was belie avg. Snow crab legs were smaller than expected but still market price. Baked potatoes tasted like they were made the night before and reheated. We were all just disappointed in this restaurant. Very nice on the inside though. I won't be returning.More

The food was ok but overpriced. Best part of the day was the server Marley, so if you go, ask for her.

Visited the new location of Wolf Bay Lodge in Orange Beach this evening and was not disappointed. The food was very good, as always. There was a long wait--got there at 5:45pm-- so, I suggest you get there early. But, we avoided the wait by...sitting at the outdoor bar (which really isn't outdoors). The plus for that move is we got to listen to John Joiner and Augie Savage. Love their music. Hope Wolf Bay has them play there often.More

We visited as a family. We had the crab dip which was fabulous, hush puppies, crab legs which was a great price and excellent! We had an hour wait but they took your cell phone number and kept you posted on where you were in...line. Definitely would recommend!More

I ordered the blackened grouper and my husband ordered the shrimp alfredo. Both dishes were served quickly and hot. I found the food to be very average and plentiful. Our bill was $65.00 plus tip. My husband was satisfied but I tend to want my...food to be delish.More

We walked across the street from our hotel for a quick lunch. Food and service were both excellent. COVID-19. While the staff was wearing mask, the tables and chairs were not cleaned throughly between guest. A big turn off for me was salt\pepper shakers and...condiment bottles sitting on the tables and not being cleaned after each customer. Luckily I brought Lysol wipes and could wipe off everything myself.More
