Nice-sized portions of very tasty Southern cooking. Fried green tomatoes were great. Very good seafood. Lots of good local beers and some nice bourbons available. Service was friendly and attentive. Big place along the river, with indoor & outdoor seating, plus what looked to be...some private/event rooms. Right over the bridge from Tuscaloosa.More

When working at Bama we normally eat at the Cypress Inn. This year it was closed. Tried bang bang shrimp taco & crab cake - shrimp a little too spicy. Crab cake seemed to be equally filler with crab. Not really overly exciting but ok....We’ll be back & try again.More

First time ever here and definitely will go back! The atmosphere was awesome. We went around 3-4 pm. There were not that many people to start off with but soon filled up. The food was amazing and our waitress was the best. Only issue we...had was for it to be busy they were really short staffed that day and she was running around like crazy. Also, they should invest in good whiskey glasses - just to make that more enjoyable.More

Wow! We stumbled upon the Levee on a recent trip. The restaurant filled quickly and we new we were in to something. Beautiful views of the river. Staff helpful and attentive. I ordered the catfish and it was the best so had ever had. The...rest of the table had the brisket burger and they were very pleased. Great place for dinner!More

The Levee is our family’s go-to restaurant in Tuscaloosa. We have never had a bad meal or unpleasant experience. The servers are always polite and attentive, and the food is always top-notch. The blackened shrimp is my favorite and I also love the Bang Bang...shrimp and the Shrimp Dip.More

Here for a conference. Elizabeth was our server and I few like we got so lucky with her. Pleasant personality, knowledgeable of the menu and very efficient. We didn’t have to ask for refills or anything. I ordered the fried shrimp plate, which came with...two sides (I got the Caesar salad and steamed broccoli). The Caesar salad was a side portion but looked more like a step down from an entree salad. It was almost a meal by itself. It was very good with plenty of cheese flakes and croutons. I received 12 big and flavorful shrimp that were fried to perfection. I had to force myself to eat them all as they also bring a plate of hush puppies and rolls prior to your food arriving. Those hush puppies were crispy and hot and worth every calorie. Being from the South, I always appreciate a good glass of sweet tea. The Levee did not disappoint at all! Whole experience was great from beginning to end. Well worth the trip and I can’t wait to go back.More

This could be a premier restaurant with its Awesome location. Bagged lettuce salads, frozen fish etc. is not my idea of a seafood Restaurant. No real significant signature dishes and no reel classy chef dishes . Just routine and never over the top.
