We made reservations for 11:00 am Sunday. They opened promptly on time and we were directed to a table near the door and we asked for another table and was able to take our pick. Everything was perfect! The food, the cocktails and the service....We will be back to try dinner!More

Like this restaurant, close to home and food is good but the hostess (dirty blond and glasses) needs to GO! She has been so terribly rude on multiple occasions. The owners are lovely, not a reflection of them at all!!!

From other reviews, we looked forward to this visit with great anticipation. The restaurant was quite active on a Friday night, so we were even more excited about what was to come. Our waiter, Jeremy was terrific, friendly and efficient. The menu seems to change...with some level of frequency, so I can only tell you what we had. The triggerfish was fresh, and well prepared. The flounder was unremarkable and practically flavorless. The restaurant is active, but we found the seating in the main dining room to be hard, and not comfortable. Overall it was fine, just not the great Birmingham experience expected - There are amazing restaurants in Birmingham!More

My wife and I went to a late Sunday Brunch at Dyron's. This was our first time at Dyron's. Our waiter was excellent, very friendly and made us felt welcome like a regular visitor. I had the trigger fish and for dessert the chocolate cake...that was so tasty with my cup of hot Earl Grey tea. I definitely plan on returning to this restaurant.More

My wife and I celebrated with a lovely dinner here. A lively Mountain Brook eatery with a great waiter! We started with some great Blue Point Oysters and half and half marinated and fried blue crab claws. Both were amazing. My wife's pan seared red...snapper was the bomb, simple and perfectly done. My soft shell crab was a little too salty for my taste with a little too much breading, but otherwise good. I'd also recommend the homemade key lime pie. The prices add up, but a great place with a constantly changing menu.More

Crowded and noisy, but comfortable. The food was good, but definitely not great. I had the triggerfish on a bed of veggies. Well presented, but it lacked flavor. Two others had snapper, which was a bit better but certainly not top tier. For the prices...we could have eaten at Highlands or Hot and Hot. Most off-putting was the lack of interest in offering my vegan friend any kind of appetizing alternative. Granted, this is not a vegan restaurant, but most better urban restaurants will have given this a little thought in advance.More

This restaurant was highly recommended and obviously a hot spot in Birmingham right now. You MUST have reservations unless you want to wait in never never land. There is a nice bar area if you must wait but just make reservations! The food was good,...I’ve had better, but everything we had was good except for the shrimp and grits. Not a good dish. Maybe it was an off night. The red snapper was liked and also the beef tenderloin. Dessert was a let down. Beignets were hard as a rock and not appetizing. I will say our server was excellent. Not intrusive but aware when things were needed. And parents, this is. It a place for children! Get a sitter!More

I visited with a friend while I was in town. I visit Birmingham at least once a month and it was unfortunate that I had never heard of this restaurant before an associate at my hotel recommended it. The food is amazing and the restaurant...has so much character. Will definitely be back on my next visit!More

Just arrived in Birmingham. No real knowledge of the city; previous visit in the 70's. Looked on Open Table for restaurant near hotel--up popped Dyron's. Reviews sounded good. They were right! We had the best grits I've ever had, The oysters were fresh & everything...was delicious. Service was also very professional.More

It had been over a year since I visited Dyron's, but last night's dinner was amazing. Their fennel and grapefruit salad is well proportioned, light, and refreshing. The grouper and grits entree was boldly seasoned and filling. I topped it all off with delightful chocolate...dipped beignets. The best of all might have been the environment. They seated us two at a wonderful side table that provided a striking amount of privacy, and the background noise level was so appropriate that I could actually converse with my dinner guest. Thanks for a great evening, Dyron's!More

Great spot in a great area, had the Waygu hamburger that was at the top of my list of all time favorite burgers. Big burger and great flavors, substitute the fries for brussel sprouts and glad I did.
