The reviews were so good. We were in the area and since it was pandemic time, we ordered carry out. The ribs were a terrible disappointment, being very dry, tough and not much meat. The pork sandwich was good, as were the sides of mac...& cheese and beans. When we're back in the area, we may give it another try.More

Their smoky meat and delicious sauces make my mouth water just thinking about! Comfortable atmosphere, kind service, and you have to try the okra!

I had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Dreamland while on a short business trip to Montgomery. I love me some Dreamland! I got there shortly after opening. The aroma of pit-cooked pork greeted me when I opened the car door. I was seated promptly...and in no time at all I was enjoying some delicious Dreamland Barbecue. The food was delicious and the service was good. I will look forward to a return trip if I'm ever in Montgomery around lunch time. The menu is the abbreviated COVID-19 version that we have all come to know and loathe. Eating utensils were pre-wrapped plastic. I received one small Styrofoam container with about 3 ounces of barbecue sauce (more than enough for my meal). Ketchup was provided in the pre-packaged foil containers. The use of disposable serving pieces and dishes abounded. All of the servers were "CDC-compliant" in their masks and gloves. Social distancing was maintained. The only annoying thing about my visit was the parking. The city of Montgomery wants to charge you for the pleasure of supporting their local businesses. Parking meters occupy both sides of the street in front of Dreamland. I chose to drive a couple of blocks and walk back. If you go, be prepared to install an app on your smart phone so that you can pay the parking fees. Or not. It's a short walk and the neighborhood is safe at this time of day.More

We were in Montgomery and Dreamland was a short walk from our hotel. BBQ is always a favorite and this didn’t disappoint! I had pulled pork & my wife had ribs. Both meals were excellent. The price was very reasonable and you get generous servings....We wanted banana pudding but were too full after the BBQ, so we got it to go. And we were really happy that we did; delicious!! Anna was our server and made our meal even more enjoyable with her pleasant personality.More

We were in a hurry for lunch and we were staying at the Springhill Suites which is literally around the corner from Dreamland. So even though our group was not full of BBQ aficionados we opted to give it a try. I'm from NC where...BBQ is a serious sport, and we were heading to Memphis, another BBQ capital, so BBQ in Montgomery wasn't at the top of my list. BUT. It turned out to be the best that we had on our trip. I had a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and pickles and it was delicious, well flavored and had the right amount of browned bits. The atmosphere is really fun with lots of neon signs and memorabilia around. Service was prompt. We ended up trying Central BBQ in Memphis later in our trip and Dreamland was head and pork shoulders better. Dreamland is in an old renovated brick warehouse quite close to the Legacy Museum; but it is a bit off of the center of town.More

This was my second visit to Dreamland, the first being in Birmingham. We were a party of two and were seated quickly. We visited around noon and it was packed. We ate the spicy boneless rib wrap and an order of ribs. Both were delicious....I wish I could recall the servers name, because she was fantastic. This is most certainly a family friendly restaurant. I had large family parties all around me. They kept our server busy but she was always attentive to us and did her job with a smile on her face.More

Driving through the South recently, looking for the perfect ribs, we were directed to Dreamland by our hotel staff....they said it was the place locals went, and shouldn't be missed. They were right. Wonderful ribs....sides...not so much.

Read a lot of glowing reviews so opted to try it out. Meh. The ribs were meaty but not all that flavorful. The baked beans were I swear out of a can. Fried okra was just okay. Our waiter was really great and the atmosphere...was nice. The famous banana was to DIE for so the visit was not a total waste. I’d eat there again but wouldn’t go out of my way.More

I don't think they have beef. They do have chicken and turkey options.
