As a Thai food lover I find this restaurant not very authentic, food not with the correct condiments, Portions so so and Tum Yum soup horrible.

I haven't been here for awhi lo e so I stopped for a try. The pad Thai was excellent; I loved the sauce. The Tom ka soup was equally good, the spring rolls were good too all for $11 on the lunch menu. The setting...is attractive and highly decorated. A buffet is available. Service was good and friendly.More

The best thing about this place is the incredibly well done lunch buffet. The number of dishes is limited but each dish is very well prepared. The soups are great as is the spicy fish. Actually, the food is not that spicy at all, but...you can ask for the spices jar. My wife and I were visiting from Southern California where we have dozens of local Thai restaurants to choose form and - for a buffet at very low prices - this was fed our craving for Thai food just fine. A very good Tom Yum Soup. I always try this soup as every Thai restaurant I visit. The soup was excellent. I also bought a jar of sweet and sour sauce and a jar of peanut sauce.

I used to go there for lunch perhaps once every two weeks. I loved their Tom Yum. In those days I thought their Tom Yum was as good as any I had in Thailand. I was in Mobile for 1 day and the restaurant was...close to my motel so went in for dinner. Of course I ordered the Tom Yum with an appetizer of spring rolls. The spring rolls were tasty but greasy. Not fatal but not what I remembered. The Tom Yum came in a much smaller bowl than I recalled. There were more than a dozen mushrooms floating on the top. I ladeled out a portion into the bowl. It wasn't sour, there was no lemon grass that I coiuld discern and the taste was non-existent. There was a paucity of seafood, large discs of ginger and the usual farmed shrimp. The presentation was poor and the soup even worse. I couldn't even tell what it was. It went back with the young, apologetic waiter who was a nice guy and new to the place. I asked him if the chef was from belgium! As a replacement I just ordered another appetizer, crab rangoon. I felt too sorry for the nice waiter to send it back. A lot of fried dough, a little glob of cream cheese, and virtually no crab to be found anywhere. This restaurant has deteriorated beyond description, it should be avoided.More

We hadn't been to Bangkok Thai in a long time and decided to give it a try recently. They had a lunch buffet (you can also order off the menu). I really like buffets when I eat Thai because I like to try a little...of a lot of different dishes. Bangkok's buffet was excellent - lots of choices, everything was tasty and the price was very reasonable. My only complaint is that they were a little slow replenishing the food.More

Today my family and I went out to lunch at this establishment, which used to be a favorite. I stress "USED to be." It all started with the male server, who had far more attitude than he had personality. We all ordered, but nearly half...an hour later none of our soups, salads, or appetizers had materialized. (A different server had to refill our drinks.) During this time we watched as parties seated after us were now enjoying their entrees. Our starters finally arrived after we asked the female server what was going on and suddenly everything started coming out at once. We barely had a chance to begin eating our soup before our entrees were arriving, but we soldiered on. Then it got worse. The tofu in everyone's dishes was terribly prepared (my mother even had to send hers back and order something different) and my husband and I both discovered chicken in our veggie tom-ka soup...a nasty surprise for a family of vegans! This is the 3rd time in the last 6 months that we have ordered vegan dishes that we ended up finding animal products in anyway, so this was the last straw. Afterward we were all very ill with digestive distress, likely due to the intake of animal products none of us are used to consuming. We pointed all of this out but were offered no discount, no way to make up for this disaster, and were still charged the full price of nearly $60 for our trouble. While we appreciate the fact that the female server was very polite and obviously trying to minimize the impact of all of this, the experience was so distressing that we will not be back, even after being loyal customers for years.More

In a shopping center off the interstate. I was pleasantly surprised with the decor. Very blown away by the food. Tasty, authentic, spicy and plenty of it. Must try Tom ka soup and the green tea with honey. We will go back again and again....Maybe even tomorrow. 😄😄More

From the street, I was a bit hesitant to pull in - the building was quite understated, and all parking was back behind the building. But we had planned on Thai for lunch and I'm glad I gave the place a second chance to impress....Inside, the decor was pleasing and clean. We arrived too late for the buffet so we ordered off the menu. The server was very polite, patient, and helpful. Senior meals were not offered so we ordered one full meal and one appetizer with an extra plate. A salad with a peanut salad dressing was served while we waited for our meals and it was absolutely delicious! The meal portions were quite large and we left with fully half of both orders in a to-go box. My Pad Thai was simply delicious and my wife's Chicken Satay was also excellent. I can't say how the service would be when the place is crowded because it wasn't busy at all early in the afternoon. I can say that if we lived near Mobile this would be one of our regular and favorite restaurants!More

There is a buffet or you can order from the menu and the food is excellent. The atmosphere is cozy, even though the space is large, with beautiful decorations from Thailand. The owner is kind and generous and the staff is always helpful and humble....I highly recommend.More

I worked in the area and stopped here regularly for lunch a few years back. Always enjoyed the freshness of flavors. Yesterday my hubby and I returned for lunch and were not disappointed. Same fresh flavors and excellent service. The decor is beautiful, full of...carved wood in the Thai tradition. We were pleasantly surprised by some positive changes to the lunch menu. A small salad with peanut dressing has been added to the cup of soup, appetizer and entree combo. I opted for the sweet and sour chicken combo and hubby ordered the beef with broccoli. Both arrived hot and were excellent! They have also added a lunch buffet which seemed to be the choice of most diners at this time of the day. I always prefer to order off the menu for the freshest food, but the buffet looked good. Reasonably priced for high quality food. We shall return again and again.More

I don't know why there aren't more glowing reviews for this place. It is my go to restaurant when I get to Mobile (no Thai food in my area). It is delicious; big portions; and always have good service.

Serendipity brought us to this establishment on a Tuesday night. It is on the side of the building and the entrance is not easily spotted from the road. The restaurant was rather empty at the peak of dinner time. This emptiness brings on a chilling...impression that the restaurant may not be good enough to attract a bigger crowd. We chose to ignore that impression and blamed it on "it was a Tuesday night." We ordered a sampler appetizer and 2 different curry dishes with a request for a specific amount spice heat. We also asked for Jazmin tea. We were pleasantly surprised with the flavour and the spice level. Service quality was only fair given the ratio between one server and a very few diners diners. However, what was substandard was the tea brew! It had just a superlatively faint smell and taste of Jazmin. Four dollars for hot water was too much!! The server offered to take it off the bill but we declined. I would return to this restaurant but not on this trip. If you go and like Jazmin tea make sure you ask for a richer infusion with a few more tea leaves!More

Love when I can hit their lunch buffet. Half a dozen +/- non curry dishes and half a dozen Curry dishes, a few standard sides like their tasty Spring Rolls and a couple of soups. Dessert leave a lot to be desired, but I'm not...there for dessert.More

We enjoyed the food. We have been twice. The service the first time was great when we first walked in. Then we got a different server and she seemed irritated. I ordered a mushroom dish and received the wrong dish without mushrooms. The portion was...small. It was good though so I ate it anyway. But I left hungry. My spouse ordered the buffet and liked it. The second time I got the lunch buffet and it was good. Our servers were great. By the way the iced tea is wonderful. They serve it in tall thick glass with lots of ice. I like the seating and there is a lot of interesting decor to enjoy while eating.More
