Satay Celup here is one of the best in melaka. Definitely better than dunno-why-so-long-queue Capitol.... There's a huge varieties of food to choose from, but please do order the bread+cucumber. Oh, there's limited food choice for toddlers/non-spicy eaters.

One of the oldest & best satay celup in Malacca town. There're 3 outlets on the same row of shops ie.McQuek & Ban Lee Siang with 2 shops different owners if I'm not mistaken. We went to the last one with staff in Orange uniform. Each stick is MYR1.00 (the ones on plates are different price) which is reasonable for... More

This is where my satay celup cravings satisfied each time. This shop has more seats than the others and provides a variety of choices. The taste does not disappoint me in every visit. And this place is always filled with people from evening til night. No long queue such as Capitol, I still find this place a better alternative to... More

It's new concept of steamboat. The food is variety and the price is justify. They did offer normal soup for kids that can't take spicy.

Delicious satay celup, good variety of choices of sticks, sauce is thick and peanut-y, very easy to overeat as the food is yummy and is a good place to chit chat with friends and family while dining. My tagline for the place would be 'Just one more stick...'

Well, I'm satay lover and this is the second visit to ban Lee siang, too bad the taste somehow doesn't meet my preference of taste . I didn't know why ppl really like it that much and my sauce was watery and I spotted a fly in the gravy ,luckily I didn't put in into mouth..... The second and the... More

This is mostly known to the locals, but trends have shown that tourists are starting to notice this place. It's a little far out from the city centre but still within the city limits. Probably a good 10 mins drive. The hyped up stall Capitol probably serves a better satay sauce and better consistency but considering the long queues, this... More

My first time trying sate celup here in malacca and it's surprisingly good. Staffs were friendly, the herbal tea was great! Will definitely return. Please beware of the shop with the same name next door. Don't go to the one with blue sign. Go to the one with orange shirt crews 😁👍🏻

I visited Ban Lee Siang on the recommendation of Makansutra website. Our driver also recommended this restaurant as his previous group had been sick after they ate at the other famous satay chelop restaurant! We were ushered to a table as soon as we arrived at about 7.45pm. One side of the restaurant were the fridges where the skewers of... More

If you wish your gravy to be "first-hand" then you should arrive earlier. We went there around 5pm, it was still half empty seats in the shop. Not recommended on peak hours, as those waiting will be standing right beside you. Wear thin clothes as it would be hot when you started to boil the gravy and dip-in the foods.
