It's been some time I have been writing reviews. Don't know if it helps, please let me know if it helps by clicking helpful. TripAdvisor is good, only if the reviews can be better segregated to serve reader's need. We have been a customer to Chung Wah for more than 15 years. They maintained good food, at least to our... When you talk about Jonker street, you will definitely talk about Chung Wah chicken rice ball. We decided to pay this old -school shop right across "Shan Shu Gong". There is no shelter at the entrance, we had to brace under the hot sun for a good 1/2 an hour before being greeted by grumpy service staff. When to ask... More

I read quite a few reviews about this Chung Wah Chicken Rice Ball. And I tot lets give it a try. The Kampong Chicken that they used, the meat are tough, even the drumsticks are not that tender. I feel absolutely disappointed with this dish. But the rice ball are not too bad. The chillies are not compatible with their... More

The best Hainan Chicken rice in Melaka - the chicken, the chili sauce and the rice. Long queue no doubt 'cos the shop has less than 10 tables. Clean and Well organised. No rushing, be patient and wait for your turn. Customers allowed to sit down after tables are cleared. Orders for half ( RM22:30)or whole chicken(RM 44:60), so come... More

On my previous trips to Melaka, I did not stop at Chung Wah as the queue was always long. This time around there were only around 5 people so we decided to join the line. The only chicken options are half bird and full bird. So even if you go as one person, you gotta pay for half a bird.... More

Personally for me it is not very good and very salty for the chicken. Plus, it is not cheap for a whole chicken. There will always be a long line in the weekend which i definitely think not worth q-ing. Bring umbrella if you wana go for it as the weather often is hot. Well, food is subjective..u can always... Before visiting Melaka, as a foodie we had search the best food Melaka has to offer. Despite the hot sunny weather and the long Q, it was worth the wait.

When u see the long queue feel attraction to try the food of that place. That's what happened to me and my friends who decided to have lunch late wishing to find less people there, to get a seat took us just around 10min. Reviewing the food, it's an easy choice because they just offer 2 dishes, rice balls and... More
