Not a lot of options for a cold beer in Melaka, but Sid's was one that came handy. I understand this is a chain, which helps explain why an ersatz Brit pub exists here. People were friendly and service was good. Great location overlooking the...More

Taking up what is surly Malacca's number one location, right on the river at the beginning of Jonker street, you'd expect this place to either reflect some Malaysian heritage and style, or be a haven of class and cool style for modern travelers. Sadly it's...More

Smack right in the middle of Jonker Street. You can hear a live band sings after 9pm in the front, while sit back and relax at the back watching small boat cruising through the river, sipping your martini.

Located at the corner of Jonker street overlooking river cruise. You can even sit outside and enjoy the sip of beers and light refreshments. It's a non halal pub and basically caters to tourist and locals though. Happy to meet my old buddy Mat Salleh...More

Located strategically at Jonker Street beside the river. Great spot to hang out for couple of beers and food. View is good. Friendly staff. Will go again.

Just sitting by window and enjoying the wind from Malacca river and living music. You can leave the annoying crowd behind. Good beers and ciders.

Sids is superbly located overlooking the fort and Malacca river enabling a great view on river life and close to Malaccas main attractions. A great spot to chill and enjoy a cold beer and some classic bar comfort food.

..is all that matters. Well, at Sid's, the service is also excellent: courteous and swift. As in any Malaysian bar geared at tourists and expats, the beer is outrageously expensive, and the selection offered quite depressing. Malaysia is NOT a place for beer lovers. This...More

It was great to sit on the river and the bartender was good, very tasty drinks. Unfortunately, the bill was considerably more than expected and the depicted offer was not honoured. The duty manager apologised and accepted an error from a member of his team...More

Excellent if you need a wide selection on the menu - besides the usual which is available in Melaka, you will find excellent cocktails, Guinness, and good wine.

If it is being shown in Melaka, I guess the Hard Rock Cafe will show it.
