Been here a few times, but best time to go is during weekdays, for lunch, when its not so crowded. I think they serve dinner, but only on weekends, but I could be wrong. But if you are there on a weekend, expect a crowd and a queue. Being a peranakan myself, I love the authentic Malaccan peranakan taste. Place... More

Had a quick lunch here after a meeting in Melaka. This restaurant in Kota Laksamana is a favourite among tourist who are looking for good nyonya food. The popiah (spring roll) is delicious and the nyonya cuisine is one of the better options. However the pricing maybe bit on the higher end.

I visited Nancy's Kitchen at least 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Pretty out of character for me...but how couldn't I? After my first visit, I wanted to savour more of what they had to offer. Glad to say that I was very pleased on all counts. The food was consistently good. Service was always friendly and efficient, given... More

Had Dinner at this restaurant few years ago when it was at Jonker street. Now it had moved to a bigger three level shop, Tried Ngoh Hiang ( Meat Rolls), is very good, crispy on the outside. Nyonya Chap Chai (Mixed Vegetables Nyonya style) not bad. Chicken Ponteh, Chicken Buah Keluak is good to try. There are also a counter... More

Was really excited to try this highly raved Nonya Restaurant and when we saw a long queue at the entrance, we thought we were in for some authentic yummilicious Peranakan Food but we were kind of disappointed. Food was not served hot, not even warm and taste was pretty average too. If you need to satisfy your curiosity on this... More

Had lunch at Nancy's Kitchen on our recent short trip to Malacca. Lunch crowd was just coming in but we had a reservation, so we got a table immediately. Food was average and servings were small for the price they charge. Especially disappointing was the chendol. The gula Melaka was tasteless and the coconut milk was not fragrant. And it didn't come cheap. But the service was fantastic especially the guy at the door. Very cheerful.

A wide variety of Peranakan dishes in the menu. Taste was average and was much too spicy (at least for my liking). The gem we found was the ondeh ondeh (local dessert). It was very fresh, soft and had full flavor of gula melaka.

We decided to walk there from Jonker, which took us approximately 20mins. We arrived around 2pm, lucky for us, the lunch crowd was dispersing so we didn't have to wait long to get seated. We ordered a Nonya Laksa, Popiah, chicken rendang, kangkong, salted veg and duck soup, hokkien dumpling and nonya dumpling for 2 to share. Paid about RM85... More
