I was disappointed with my Korean food. I spent two years in Korea, and love pulgogi, but the pulgogi I got here was the most bland pulgogi I’ve ever eaten. The meat hadn’t really been marinated in sesame seed oil, soy sauce, gaelic, ginger, sugar,...vinegar, pear, et. al., or if it had, there was very little of it on the meat I got. The portion was generous enough, although there weren’t very many side dishes except for two with one being the expected kimchi. I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time, but I don’t think I will go back because I wasn’t that impressed with the taste of my pulgogi. Because downstairs seating was limited, my friend decided to eat at an outside table although she has issues with too much sun. Even though it was a pretty humid day, it was kind of nice watching daily life on the downtown square. My other complaint is with the couple of flies that kept buzzing around our food which we continually had to fight off. Lately when I’ve eaten out at restaurants, I have regretted it because what I’ve been getting served has been pretty mediocre food. What is the point of going out to eat if the food isn’t worth it? Since this restaurant has gotten such good reviews, with their speciality being Korean food, I expected this dish to be prepared correctly. I took my leftovers home and added the seasonings I listed above to it when I ate it and the taste was much improved. Maybe others who have never been to Korea don’t know what Korean food is supposed to taste like, but I do and I expected better.More

We happened by Big ohs while walking around looking for a place to eat. Did not know what type of food it was.....very unassuming place. The food is VERY good. Service was spot on. Easy in and out...loved it!!

Didn't realize this place was in the downtown area so parking was not easy and the location was small and hidden between two larger and busier restaurants. When you first walk in, you immediately notice the odd eclectic decor of this korean restaurant because it...was a cross between a wedding venue and a mishmash of antique store finds. The food was a fusion of korean/mexican/vietnamese. Everything was a bit overpriced and not quite authentic korean flavors.More

The food and service was excellent. The only thing that I would suggest is that the server lets customer know that the check isn’t brought to table. You must go to register. We sat around approximately 10 minutes before we figured it out.

My husband and I decided to try Big Oh’s on the way to walk the Tinsel Trail. We parked about a block away and from the restaurant and were able to walk to both. Big Oh’s was a good choice. We chose to eat at...the bar rather than at a table upstairs. It was a warm, friendly and casual place with good service. They have a large menu with lots of choices.... even wings and items that are not Korean. We ordered the kimchee bacon pancake as an appetizer and split the spicy pork and beef bulgogi entrees. The entrees came with our choice of a soup or salad prior to the main dish. Our entrees were delicious and came with yaki mandu (fried dumplings). Everything was yummy. We look forward to coming again!More

If you are craving for a DELICIOUS Korean Food, this is the place to go! Service is fast! And the seating upstairs is nice and cozy. I'm so happy to have found this place and I sure will be back to try their other dishes!...I had the Bulgogi today and it came with 2 fried dumplings (which was a nice surprise) and an option of either soup or salad (I had the potato egg drop soup) . Soooo good!More

We happened on Big Oh's on a Monday night when many other restaurants are closed. They have bar seating downstairs and we were OK with that BUT....BUT a nice dining room upstairs. Definitely climb the stairs and look at the photos of Old Huntsville. Bulgogi was...all we knew about Korean food and our server indicated it was a pretty "safe" choice, maybe like pot roast. Hearty fare but not too interesting. The food was delicious, portions ample, and drinks(local craft beer and good wine) arrived promptly . We got the bulgogi to go since it sounded like it would be a great leftover.More

Dinner based on local recommendation - and food was awesome. The Korean wings were some of the best we had ever tasted. We will eat here again for sure the next time we are in Huntsville!

My husband and I were downtown and were looking for a place within walking distance. We found Big Oh's. It seemed like it wasn't terribly busy so we went in. We waited for over an hour for our food but in their defense two big...table had come in just before us. Our waiter kept us updated on our food but it was a long wait. The food however, was wonderful! I had the Bulgogi and my husband had the spicy pork. Both worth the wait for sure. If we're in Huntsville again we will go back. Maybe time it a bit better so we won't have to wait as long.More

My husband and I love Big Oh’s. We easily come here for dinner or takeout every other week. It is a delicious menu even though I always order Big Oh’s bulgogi. My husband likes the short ribs or spicy bulgogi. And when we want a...appetizer we get the yaki mandu. This is a great place to go for a casual-dinner or take out. They also have a patio outside which is so nice to use on a cool day. (The patio is open and bright so it feels like you are actually outside.) We love Big Oh’s and hope you will too!More

I was excited for this restaurant before it even opened. I've been a faithful customer, and I enjoy the food. Favorite items include the mandu soup and japchae. I'll agree with another reviewer that it's overpriced -- moreso at dinner than lunch. On food alone,...I'd probably give Oh's 4 stars. But the service is slipping. I like to do business with locally-owned establishments, and this fits that bill. But the dining room is small, so we often plan to take food to go. The last time we actually got a meal from them, our wait was 45 minutes longer than the 45 minutes we were told to expect. An hour and a half for a to-go meal? Unacceptable, particularly since we weren't even offered a drink or anything while we sat waiting for our overdue food. The last time I stopped in, I left without food because the staff made it quite clear that their lunch hours ended soon, and they intended to be off-premises by the time the clock struck 2. The first thing they said when I came in the door was, "Yes, we're still serving lunch, but you have to take it to go." Okay, fine. But then it became, "We only have salad, no soup for your side because we are closing." And I noticed that the grill was already cleaned and turned off. So if you go and you want access to the full menu, be sure to allow plenty of time before they close, since they start the shutdown process quite early. I'll probably go back, but it's going to be awhile. Right now, I'm just too disappointed in their customer service.More

We had Korean pancake and wings for appetizers. Pancake was excellent. Wings were very crispy with a good sauce. We had spicy pork lunch dishes and chef's special spicy soup. All the dishes were spicy as advertised but not too hot to enjoy. Portion were...plentiful. Pot stickers and kimchi were the sides. Also they have decent selection of local draft beers.More

overpriced, honestly. And the kimchi wasn’t just spicy - it was nuclear spicy. But the bulgogi was tasty, if a little gristly at times. Wouldn’t go again, though.

Looking at Big Oh's from outside, and even when you walk inside, you will think this is just a simple Korean restaurant. Then you go upstairs and it is such a great place. The inside is decorated cute, the old building adds a ton of...atmosphere and overall you will enjoy sitting in the restaurant. The staff was efficient and friendly. They knew the menu well and could answer most questions about the food. We had their Korean Beef burgers - very, very good. The sauce was good and everything was cooked well. While I say the outside and first floor don't look like much, don't take that as bad. It is just that the upstairs is so well done you need to eat up there to get the full experience. It is a great little restaurant.More
