Great Fajitas in Huntsville

I was staying in Huntsville on business and wanted some fajitas. This seemed like a small local place so I thought I would give it a try. The restaurant is the end tenant in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. They have several different fajita options with various meats. I selected the Aztec, which is a mixture of shrimp, steak, and chicken. The fajitas are served with Mexican rice, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guacamole, Pico de Gallo, and three tortillas. There was more food than would fit into the three provided tortillas. Fortunately, some came with my coworkers meal, but he did not want them, so I also got his. It was all very flavorful and very filling. You will definitely not go away hungry here.

Very good food, very good service

Five of us had dinner here on a Saturday night. Seated quickly. Waitress was excellent. Vegetable fajitas were fresh, hot, and really good. Everyone's food was really good. One extra thing; two of us got the jalapeno marguerita. Those may have been the most beautiful cocktail presentations I've ever seen. They said the drinks were really good. There were two Hispanic families having dinner there while we were there, and that's alwasya good sign for a Mexican restaurant. This place is not fancy, no pretentiousness, great employees, wonderful food, and reasonable prices (even during inflation). What esle could one want in a restaurant?

Best Mexican in Huntsville

I love tacos!! Wrap it up in a tortilla and I will eat it. Los Mariachi's is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant in Huntsville. First because their food is consistent. I have loved everything I have tried and when I eat something I have had before, it's just as good! Second, the service is amazing! They replenish chips, drinks, etc. They have friendly staff and low turnover so we get the same servers each time! Third, they are clean!!

Bland food and dirty dishes

This food was very bland and the portions were small. The salsa was very runny and chips were overcooked. Watched a guy "wash" the drinkware by hand with no soap, no cleaning brush, and water that was warm at best. He would grip the top of the margarita glasses and give them an extra wipe before putting them in the clean rack but most others just got rinsed in the water.😶

Good, quick bite. Enjoyed dining at Los Mariachis. Centrally located in downtown Huntsville is a good thing. I enjoyed the fajita nachos.

No bueno, mediocre food and bad service

There are many better options for Mexican food in Huntsville. I tried this place again after a year or so absence. It's declining still. The servers continue to be rude and disinterested. You feel unwanted in there, honestly, and maybe you are lol. Food is overly salty and there's nothing special about the buffet offerings. La Alameda on Jordan lane is much better and friendlier, as are other options such as the different taco trucks around town.

plentiful mexican food buffet for $8

I want to give them a 5 but they need to do some upgrades on the look of the place. However, if you're in the mood for some mexican food and want plenty of choices, then this would be a place to go for their buffet. You can order off a menu also. There is also seating outside by Whitesburg Dr which looks inviting on a nice day. Most everything I had was very delicious except potatoes and salsa that comes with the chips. That should be a staple, the salsa, so it needs tweaking. You can make your own tacos with ground beef, shredded chicken, pork in sauce with peppers, there are beef and chicken enchiladas, chili rellenos, flautas, cheese quesdillas, wings, white melted cheese/hot sauces/guac, other dishes not sure what you call them, desserts such as flan, cinnamon nachos, peaches, pineapple slices, choc cake slices?, cinnamon donuts, etc. , it's a lot to choose from. A drink is not included in price. But if you come hungry then this is a good deal for lunch.

Quick Lunch

Great place for a quick cheap lunch,specials until two o`clock every day - This place has two entrances one on each side of the buliding- both with there own parking lot. Service was very quick and friendly --food hot and flavorful. The Mexican rice is different full of mixed vegetables.

Great cheap lunch buffet

Really good options on lunch buffet but it end at 130 so get there by 1245 or it’s not restocked It also has taquitos on the lunch buffet so we really liked that and the chicken enchiladas are super tasty you can make own tacos too

Typical Mexican Fare at a GREAT price !!!!

We tried this restaurant for a Sunday Lunch before a concert at the Braun. I was a bit concerned that it would be hard to get in and get a table and the service might be slow as a result. Not the case at all. The place was pretty full but we were seated right away and there was no issue with anything related to the service. The food came in an acceptable amount of time and it was flavorful and plentiful. We didn't have to ask for anything. Even before our chips and salsa ran out, somebody swooped in and replaced them with a new set. When our iced tea started running a little low, our server CESAR was there re-filling our glasses. The whole experience was positive and the final bill was very inexpensive. The location is great, near the hospital and just a few blocks off the civic center. Parking is ample. The staff was friendly and organized and the food was very good. They had a buffet that appeared to be well stocked. I don't like buffets, but for those that do, I think you would like this one. Plenty of patrons sitting around us came for the buffet.

Inexpensive Mexican Food

The best thing about Los Mariachis is definitely the price. You can order an enormous amount of food for very little cost. I found the staff to be very nice and the atmosphere is comfortable. Our food was average. I was disappointed in the salsa and the rice and beans, and I definitely was not blown away by our entrées. If you have a large group and want a quick, inexpensive meal, this would be a place to go.

Average Mexican Food

Ate here with a group, none of us being too familiar with Huntsville. Food was just average Mexican food.... Margaritas were just average. Chips had a nice texture to them- were above average. Overall we would not choose this place again on our next trip to town.

Maybe a down day?

I visited around 12:45...very few people there. As usual I got the buffet. Since crowd was less...the food on it seemed somewhat old. Tacos were good as usual...but other items were just too warmed over. Also the staff seemed very uninterested. And Sweeping and mopping right next to my table. Like they secretly wished for all customers to leave. It was OK...but I doubt I'll be back for a little while anyway.
