We went to Voodoo to hear my friend play for happy hour. This place made me think of an old fashioned speakeasy - we walked right past it without even realizing it. When we found it, we walked down the stairs to a narrow little cavelike basement lounge with a low ceiling. It had a really cool vibe. There was live music all night. Leo was the bartender and he really knew his drinks, musicians, local stuff, etc. It’s a really small place so get there early if you expect a crowd - maybe 15 people could fit at the bar and around 20 at the few tables.
Happy hour has drink and food specials. I didn’t expect the food to be good since drinks are their speciality so I was really surprised by the wings - they were delicious!! They definitely rank as some of the best wings I’ve ever eaten. They were cooked to perfection and then slathered in a delicious honey BBQ sauce.

We really enjoyed this bar. The employees were super cool. The live music on a Thursday night was great. It is a bit small so unsure what it would be like on a busy weekend night. Affordable as well!

Nice place overall! The band the night we went played some crappy music as the night continued on and also the night we went the female bar tender was acting like she was high on drugs and not giving good service.

Yesterday two of your employees accosted me, threatened me and one of the attacked me physically. I have filed a report with the Huntsville Police Department.
Anyone reading this should know that this establishment is dangerous and it employs violent criminals. Do not go there.

Stellar, small bar, great bands, stellar hang - Its located downtown and also down a flight of stairs that gives it a cool vibe - Small stage - Up close and personal with bands - Can be loud, but rock, etc. should be, period - Highly recommend... \m/

Loved the place. Popped in when we were visiting recently and the staff, clientele we warm and friendly. Bar snacks great and the closed in feel just added to an excellent warm welcome and atmosphere.

The staff are friendly and attentive. The place is downstairs, very dark and musty smelling. There is a seedy look and feel to the place, but that's not necessarily a bad thing - it does lend to the ambiance. This is a great place to enjoy a drink with a small group of friends. Quiet enough to enjoy conversation, but not so quiet to annoy.

Voodoo is an old favorite of mine for Huntsville Bars, it's one of the few that has lasted years- goodness, longer than I'd like to admit to going there it for :-)
The place is small, very small. And it's not swanky. Don't go for food- it's a bar.
But if you're feeling casual, in the mood for drinks and local color, this is the bar to be at. Sometimes they have bands and I really miss their live band karaoke.

Have been here a couple of times and left smelling like an ashtray both times. It is tiny and the food is sub-par.

The atmosphere of the place is neat because it is in the basement of the building. The bartender was great and the drinks were very reasonable.

Pay no attention to the older reviews. Voodoo is now smoke free. Great music, even better staff and a second to none atmosphere. Anytime I'm downtown, Voodoo is a must.

Voodoo Lounge is a smokeless dive in bar. This place is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is very laid back and feels like home away from home. The bartenders that I have encountered there are top notch and make the Voodoo experience that much more entertaining. I suggest getting the Pink Chicken if you like cocktails. The food is scrumptious and reasonably priced. The live music is worth checking out, especially if Local Orbit is in the house.

Love this place. The bartenders are personable, the drinks are amazing, and there's always live music going on. It's a great bar with a cool vibe.

Voodoo went non-smoking! It has a cool atmosphere, friendly staff and is a great place to hear fabulous local music! The food is "bar food", and a great version of that! It is a must-see for visitors and locals!
