My eating experiences at Silver Coin have all been undoubtedly delicious and lovely! Every day at lunch they have an affordable buffet that has plenty of options for a vegetarian like. The buffet comes with naan but if you like garlic/have a pulse do yourself...a favor and order the garlic naan (I promise you it is the real deal). Their buffet on the weekend is more extensive at a slightly higher price but it comes with more variety. Their chai is also absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD. Looking for unique food......Pretty decent but not a bargain and the curry can be a bit strong...In a strip center with traditional decor from India....

I really wanted to like SilverCoin. It seemed like a pretty authentic place. The food in the buffet was quite bland and the service was also poor. I had to ask for water several times as the waiter kept forgetting. Some of the food was...okay, but the rest was not up to standard Indian cuisine. I prefer Bayleaf restaurant which had some amazing Indian food & exceptional service!More

Welcoming staff and great atmosphere. The food is flavorful with a great presentation. The buffet was excellent with plenty of options to choose from (even for vegetarians!) I highly recommend a visit to Silver Coin!

We've been to about a half of dozen Indian restaurants within the Birmingham metro area and the Silver Coin Indian Grill is our favorite! We've been here multiple times and always love the lunch buffet on the weekend- so many options and choices! It is...not spicy (unlike other local buffets) and our toddler will eat almost everything that they offer on their buffet! We look forward to going here and find the staff friendly and the buffet is very affordable for families!More

By far, this is the best Indian restaurant in the Southeast. Very large menu with dishes from south and northern India. The owners are great and friendly. They treat you like family. The waiters will walk you through the menu. If you are nervous about...eating Indian food, do not worry here. They will help you order and you can order less spicy food if you do not like spicy.More

This was my second time to eat here and both times I was impressed! I ordered the garlic naan and chicken biryani and it was jus like I have had in India! I highly recommend!

The restaurant was kinda small and dark with a lot of their country decor what you would aspect. We were seated right away. The waitress was nice but the service was poor. The day we visited was on a Sunday during lunch and when they...had buffet so we could try different kinds of dishes. The food was good. I would recommend going.More

Dinner with colleagues at this restaurant, ordered an onion fried appetizer, shrimp in spice sauce and a spicy chicken dish, all very spicy and savory. Recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic. Superior customer service, great food. Well worth a try. Get the mango lassi, do not leave without giving it a go. You'll kick yourself later.

My husband and I have been going to Silver Coin for the past two years after a friend introduced us. We have always gotten the paper masala dosas and are addicted to them now, requiring at least a monthly fix. We would go weekly if...we lived closer. We always get extra of the extremely addicting and delicious potato filling on the side and save left overs for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The sambar is a little spicy but delicious too. Don't be intimidated if you have never had dosa before, it's enormous, but take the plunge and try it. My husband's parents are originally from India and have had dosas from India and all over the world for that matter. So after trying out another Indian restraunt , I came back to Silver Coin , a place I know does Indian food right. Should have came here first. A little exspensive , But at least I know it's going to be good.
