I think the waitress may been a little tired or maybe it was just after the lunch rush or maybe that's just her look. Her voice was definitely kind of dry and boring as she took my order. I've been going to this place for several months now. They have excellent food from the pizza, salad and spaghetti. I highly recommend you to try this at least once,

Locally owned and managed, this place consistently delivers authentic Italian dishes just like a grandmother would make. The spinach, eggplant & mushroom parm, lasange, and ravioli are all excellent choices. They also do a great job with pizza and calzones.

Outstanding pizza. Small place but easy parking and great service. Very popular with locals. Very informal and casual. Both table service and take out are available. Can order pizza by the slice or various size full pizzas. Items other than pizza are on the menu.

Pizza is great but so it everything else. Their salads are to die for. Buy some of their dressing to take home!

We had a wonderful meal at Salvatore’s. My daughter had fettuccine Alfredo and I had spaghetti with meat sauce, both were great!

First-time trip to restaurant. Very casual and friendly. Good parking and service. Lots of locals. Pizza was outstanding. Recommend the Sals special. Good selections of beer.

We were staying in downtown Birmingham and decided to use grub hub for delivery. I was delighted to see Salvatores on the list. I had eaten there numerous times when in Birmingham with work and always enjoyed the food. We ordered a side of marinara,...Large feta salad, shrimp with spaghetti with marinara, chicken parmigina over linguini with marinara, it also have two very nice pieces of bread on arrival. The food arrived promptly, was perfectly cooked, their marinara is oh SO good. Feta salad very fresh and good dressing. A very enjoyable and relaxing meal in our suite. If staying back downtown Birmingham we would repeat this meal.More

Extremely disappointed. I spent alot of money here to only get pizza burnt, muffalettas dry, the 3 chocolate cakes I ordered, well, I only received one, bc they were out. Then, was questioned bc I wanted a refund. Why would I not want a refund...with this kind of food. Will not return.More

My husband and I had lunch at Salvatore’s today. We’ve eaten here before and the food is always good and they have a nice variety of pizza and pasta dishes. The food was good today, but the staff wasn’t very friendly and appeared to be...very unhappy. The tables were dirty and we had to clear a table ourselves which didn’t seem to bother anyone! (And they weren’t crowded so there’s no excuse.) The interior definitely could use a facelift too! The wait for our meal seemed a little long since they weren’t crowded. The food was good so I’ll give it a “3” rating but if not for that, it would be a stretch for a “2”. We will not be back. The one in Trussville is a lot nicer and we may go there.More

My mother loved pizza, and Sal's was her favorite. The food is still very good after many years. Ordered a large pizza, calzone, spaghetti with meatballs, and fettuccine alfredo. All were really good, far above Olive Garden swill. Salvatore's is kind of an institution, so...I guess they don't feel like they have to try very hard to be friendly. A smile would probably have made the food taste even better.More

Stopped and picked up a hot ten inch meatball sub. It was filled with three large meatballs and cheese. Outstanding taste. Comes with bag of chips. Very good value.
