The showcase of the Guntersville state park is the beautiful lodge that houses a dining facility, bar, and lounge area. There are various rooms which can be reserved for any activity you have planned as well as cabins, chalets and hotel rooms situated on the large lake. The pool and playground keep the smaller visitors busy. This is a great... More

Thank you for your response. Although this park has been around for over 40 years, not everyone knows the beauty it holds. Your review will help get the word out. Thank you. More

We came to see the eagles and stayed for lunch. The dining room is lovely and the view was beautiful. The food was typical buffet. Most of what I ate was tasty, but the deserts and okra were not as good. I ate only veggies, but husband said the catfish and pork roast were fine.

Thank you for your review. I will communicate with the F&B your concerns on the okra and desserts. Did you get any photos of the view? We enjoy sharing our customers experience on our social media. How many eagles did you see? We have a new nest on property and are very excited about potentially having a cam view next... More

Beautiful sights but no one around to see them. Can't keep up the lodge with few visitors. Lunch staple, fries, were not acceptable. Lovely carved poles, rooms for meetings and celebrations. Needs guests.

Thank you for your review about lunch, we will be sure to share that with our food and beverage director. As you stated, it is a shame more people were not here to enjoy that view. Depending on what day you visit, the lodge can seem pretty scarce on occasion. Some days we are searching for parking options for a... More

Service was excellent. Menu very, very limited. Catfish excellent, French fries tasted like they had been around awhile. The view is the best part of this restaurant.

Service was friendly, nice buffet, and menu to order from had good selections as well, There with my daughter and grandchildren. Food was well prepared. Service was kind and patient with children. Clean, efficient and well decorated as befitted the lake and conservation atmosphere. winding roads to get there but worth the drive.

We returned because of a nice stay earlier this year. We had a rough start and it did not get better. Check in staff were barely civil, the restaurant was under staffed and again, put upon to provide service. We decided to take our meals in town instead. Checking out took forever since one person was trying to take care... More

Thank you for your review on trip advisor. Since our budget cuts, we have been short staffed through most of the last two years. It is our hopes that if the passing of Amendment 2 goes through, we will be able to plan for the future more appropriately; including the proper staff for customer service. Comments such as yours is... More

What an incredible park, wildlife, boat ramp and roads are just top notch. The resort is average at best, very dirty, not well maintained. We also attended a wedding at the resort. Food was below average, service was a 1 star dirty plates were left on tables all night long along many other no service items which included the restrooms.... More

We particularly enjoyed the breakfast brunch, which had plenty of food and good variety. On Labor Day morning they (understandably) seemed a little short staffed, so service was a bit slower and they were out of English muffins. But the staff who were there were very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for your review about our brunch. Labor day was a short-staffed day for our kitchen so your assessment was right on. We apologize for any lack of service on this day as it did get quite hectic with the turn out. Thank you for your patience and we look forward to being able to serve you again. More

We went to this restaurant for the first time. The Prime Rib was very tender and flavorful carved at the buffet. I also liked their fried chicken. The sides I had were mashed potatoes and cheesy broccoli with rolls. It was all good. My husband had the catfish, and he was not happy with them because they tasted like the grease... More
