The staff was friendly and courteous. We had grilled red snapper and Parmesan baked oysters and they were absolutely fabulous. Great restaurant for families too.

Oyster House has been a part of our beach vacation since it's opening. HINT: Go at lunch! The wait time is measured in minutes at lunch rather than hours! The food is good as its the service. The shops make this a fun place for the family. Order the crab claws, they're the best! If you're looking for a little... More

They have a nice salad bar and the gumbo is pretty good. Do Not order the Crab Claws it is a basket of the smallest crab meat fried that all you taste is the deep fried breading. Save $18 and just order the hush puppies they are much better. Most everything on the menu is fried and there is so... More

Definitely not worth the wait. The service itself was not horrible. The food is way overpriced and mediocre at best. The worst part of the whole experience is after this two and a half hour ordeal they had actually locked us in their parking lot!It took more than 15 minutes to fetch somebody to let us out!

Great atmosphere, great food, and even better drinks! We had a bit of a wait (I believe it was an hour or so) but this was on a Friday night and was to be expected. We waited at the bar and had great drinks!

We had a great lunch in a fun environment. The service and food were top notch! Gumbo, mahi mahi, fried shrimp and key lime pie...it just doesn't get any better!

Great place to eat. Even thought the wait could be long, there are shops and places you can go to take up the time. My kids were so good waiting because we were able to walk around and go into different shops to look at stuff. Save room too because you can go to Matt's ice cream shop right after.... More

This food was not good. Captain D's would have been better. I am really dissatisfied with gulf shores seafood. I ordered the captains choice that offered shrimp scampi, boiled shrimp, stuffed crab, and fried whitefish. The whitefish was limp and greasy, the stuffed crab had entirely too much filling that did not include crab, the boiled shrimp was ok, nothing... More

Came for dinner. Told would be an hour and a half wait. Got seated in about 55 minutes. Crab claws and crawfish tails for appetizers. Tried soft shell crab $21. Pretty good but never had before to compare. Blackened Cobia was great $21. Crab cakes are excellent but get them sauteed instead of fried. Will come here again when in... More

Overall, the best seafood that any of us had on the entire trip. We had a long wait. Arrived at 5 pm and waited over 1 hour but it was worth it. Bar drinks were very slow to arrive and we had finished appetizer by the time they arrived. Waitress was very apologetic and provided good service.
