Pretty busy. Upscale for Chinese restaurants in America I would say. Massively large portions of high quality meats - especially the shrimp. Egg foo young platter is massive and super tasty. Some of the best ever!

We found ourselves in this shopping center around lunchtime and decided to try this place. We arrived at opening time and we were greeted and seated by a very friendly Lucy, who ended up also being our server. I order the Kung Pao Chicken and my wife ordered the Sweet-N-Sour Chicken, and we both enjoyed our food. Lucy provided very good service with a smile and a friendly attitude, which added to our good experience. Another thing that we noticed that impressed us was how all of the staff interacted with each other and gave the impression that they were all part of one happy family. Great atmosphere! We shall return!!

We had an absolutely fabulous lunch. Although we have in dinner here a while back we were in search of great food in an outdoor venue due to covid-19
We started with the edamame and then shared a lunch special which was the sesame chicken. It was served extremely quickly great temperature service was fabulous all around A great experience

First time trying this place. Wow, the food was just amazing, worth the wait. We actually got it to go, got home about 20 minutes later, traffic and all, and the food was still hot. The Crab Rangoon was especially good and crispy. We will be back for sure.

Place is Garbage! The sushi is the worst I’ve ever had. $20 for 6 small smashed rice cake looking things. I got home and felt violated. This is why I DO NOT try new places. Shanghai GARBAGE

I noticed this place a week ago and was intrigued. Nice location, great menu, has sushi for my friends who like that 😂…so we decided to give it a try on a Saturday night. First off, the service was amazing! The place is a little small and unless you like sitting at the bar, the sitting was kinda cramped and uncomfortable. The food though…I ordered jasmine tea and honestly 4 people could have shared, it was a big pot and good and hot. I’m a little picky about my hot and sour soup and even more so for the wontons that go in it, it was excellent! I ordered my go to, Kung Paw Chicken and my friend got the Beef and Broccoli. Both were delicious! I will definitely be back again and again ❤️

Throughly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. A nice quiet and calm place. Sushi was just excellent. Our server Shona was super professional and attentive. We are relocating to Fairhope and are excited to make this one of our steady spots!

Great Sushi Pizza and Russian Revolution. Food was delicious. Only negative is the restaurant is SO small. Only seats around 40 (including the bar) so be ready for a wait. But food is worth the wait.

The food was sadly lacking in flavor. The chicken is boiled and chewy, and the spring rolls were over fried and full of oil. Seating is also very tight. Don’t waste your money trying it out.

My family was staying in Fairhope and wanted some Asian cuisine. We chose this restaurant due to its location to where we were staying. You will not be disappointed with the service or food. We all enjoyed our meals and would visit again if ever in the area.

Shanghai Cottage is a small Asian Fusion eatery located near the Publix in Fairhope. They offer takeout, which is the direction I went for lunch, but they also have some tables and a bar for eating in. The menu has many classic Chinese options, in addition to a large sushi and Japanese section as well. I’d absolutely go again, as I really loved the flavor of my General Tzo Chicken. My only complaint is that I asked them to bump up the spice level, and it had no kick at all. It was still a wonderful flavor nonetheless.

Usually super busy, last night was no exception. The servers were all hustling at top speed!
Zach was our sever and he was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. The Russian Revolution roll is awesome! Also recommend the won ton soup and Jubilee and Cancun rolls. Very good. Always great food and great service.
A visit here is a must! Also have great, inexpensive lunches!
