Some of the best little hamburgers around! Have certainly enjoyed each and every visit. Sad to see the owners allowed the buildings to crumble.

Call before you go. Currently closed due to storm damage to the building they are in. If they reopen they are a Decatur landmark, but check other reviews - they are not for everyone.

These are the absolute worst burgers I’ve ever had bar none. The patties are 50% meat (I can’t even say beef for sure) and half some kind of filler akin to bread crumbs. This is then deep fat fried. The only topping available are ketchup,...More

C F Penn's is probably the oldest hamburger joint in Decatur. It's small, but they serve many customers every day. It's not for everyone, but my late husband was a huge fam of these burgers. You can't eat just one.

Awful tasting grease filled so called burger. Rude and unfriendly staff. Best thing about the visit was the free refill. I have never had such a unpleasant experience at a restaurant. Money wasted whole family sick from the amount of grease in this meal.

I have lived here for 2 years and finally ate there. It was an old fashioned counter serve restaurant with fountain drinks and hamburgers. They prepare and cook the food right in front of you so it definitely gives you an experience from a past...More

Been around for over 80 years . Patties are hamburger & bread mix cooked in a grease bath. . Sounds bad but taste better when "all the way"
