This place has rave reviews from all the locals but it can't even try to compete with a real, nice steak house. The staff was very friendly but the atmosphere is severely lacking (like eating in a basement at a picnic table) as is the food. The steak was overpriced for a fatty piece of meat.

The steak was really good and the fried crab claws. You get a lot of food so don't over order. You will be full. Fried chicken was great too but it's hard to mess up fried chicken. We will return again.

Steak here is amazing. The shrimp is to die for and don't miss the onion rings and or crab claws. Though not well advertised they go have grilled shrimp too. It is often better than you get on the gulf!

Place Ok Food Ok It's always crowed so my boyfriend and I decided to try. We think it's little bit expensive for nothing special. Ps: We don't like much fried food.

We started going to McLin's in 1984 while in the Army and still love it today. Ambiance is perfect. Like dining in the 60's. Now for the food. Yes it's all fried, but fried to perfection. The onion rings are as good as they get. Outstanding appetizer! Then the catfish, oysters, and shrimp are as good as anywhere. We actually... More

First of all, this restaurant has an odd atmosphere. It's not bad, just different and the next time I'll be prepared. First, no one who works there wears a uniform, not even a tee shirt saying 'McLins'. A young man in cargo shorts and a Patagonia tee asks if we've been helped. I honestly thought I was about to get... More

I can't say enough about the excellent food and the wonderful people at McLin's (3rd generation family-owned), and the owners are there working just as hard as everyone else. This weekend we had crab claws, rib eye steaks, and fried oysters -- but everything on the menu is good. Steaks and fried seafood are the mainstays and the cooking and... More

Good if you are looking for fried seafood. Rib eye steaks are good also. Very little to offer on the menu though for someone requiring a low fat, low salt of vegetarian fare.
