From the environment to the selection of the dishes, everything in this restaurant makes you feel like you are in a typical 18th century local farm house.

I have never seen so such food like I have seen at this place. Lots of salad and topical Brazilian food. It's worth checking this place out .

Regional cuisine, lots of choices. It is a buffet, priced by the kilo, about $7-8 a pound. Pretty reasonably priced.

I typically do not like buffet restaurants - but this was recommended by 2 different locals. You get a card to charge when you fill your plates (after they are weighed) and drink orders are brought to your table. The atmosphere is pleasant - and brightly decorated. The desserts and dessert table is the highlight - really excellent. The soups... More

I tried both Parraxaxa and Chica Pitanga and liked Parraxaxa better. It has a much larger selection than Chica and the food quality is better. It is a larger place, so it can be a little noisier, but the trade off is well worth it. The one criticism I had is that they only had 1 person weighing the food,... More

The buffet has some oretty amazing foods. Lots of flavour and most of them are very well seasoned. We also ordered a few thing from the menu and they came in very nice, hot, tasty and within a reasonable time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back again.

The restaurant has a buffet with a great variety of typical dishes. It also has a selection of tapiocas and appetizers. Everything I tried tasted great. The decor is also nice and the waiters are dressed as "cangaceiros".
