Wonderful sweets. One of the best. Does not have an upmarket look. Coming up with lots of varieties now. But in danger of sacrificing their strength, authentic bengali sweets.

The narkoler mistis out this world..but so is the misti of Kolkata ... Any one who is for a treat of misti of Bengal the coconut based sweets have to be tried. Can you imagine a sweet shop having barricades on the front to manage crowds..this is where the locals shop...period !!

The best among the best. One of the most traditional and celebrated sweetmeat outlets of the city. It is a pleasure to see the creations taking shape in the shop itself. The best sandesh makers of Kolkata.

Ever since my childhood days I used to visit this nondescript mistir dokan with my Mama, a connoisseur of Bengalee sweets. No gimmic no advertising yet the ball of traditional business rolled on and on on the word of mouth of the tongues that taste the sweet indescribable. I like the taste of sandesh for its soft sweetness, authentic purity... More

Go to the Original at Ramdulal Sarkar Strret near Bethun College. I used to have small Karapaker Sandesh at 4 annas 25 paisa. Now it costs Rs 5. Yet that special flavour of milk from Black Coloured Cow is missing. Now the grandson is running the show.

Description
"The green-grilled mishti shop at 56 Ramdulal Street is simply called Nakur, short and (very) sweet. Peering through the iron, glasses perched on his nose, Victor picks up one of their best-selling items, Jol Bhora Norom Pak, gives them a thumbs up, and gulps down the sandesh. From a two-item menu consisting of Kada Pak and Monda back in 1844, to 2010 where Chocolate Sandesh can compete for the number one spot, Nakur has come a long way." -- The Telegraph.
