UNO’s is one of the best restaurants in Kolkata. My family and I have eaten here many times, and every time the food is top notch as well as the service. The appetizer selection is vast, and you must try the famous deep dish pizza...- clearly the best in the city. They even add pineapple to my pizza per my request! They have ample seating, outdoor options as well. You must try this place - a little slice of heaven in the city of joy.More

Went here on the Christmas day with my sister. The place had a BAD DJ playing - virtually disturbing all the customers. Inspite of asking them to stop, they kept on continuing- shows they are extremely insensitive about customer requests. Coming to the food -...the cocktails were very small - unsure if they were honest in preparing them. The chicken starters were good but the squid was rotten. When we mentioned about that, they took it back but came back with the same plate & the contents. On mentioning the second time, they agreed not to bill us. Lastly, they try and sqeeze a service charge on the bill - when you ask them about it, they say its upto me whether to pay or no. Whats the point in putting it in the bill ? Shows they are greedy. I am surely not going back to this place again.More

A bit of Chicago in Kolkata... There are many American type chain offerings in Kolkata. Almost all fail to deliver the actual product one expects. Either the service is rubbish, or the food has been ‘curried’ to local taste. More often than not both. Having...been to the original Chicago Pizza UNO (& DUO), growing up in Illinois, I cannot tell how happy I am to have found this here. The food is pretty authentic (yes they have some local nonsense on the menu - but standard deep dish is REAL), the staff is great, and frankly some may say price is high, but it’s cheaper than Chicago. I’d happily pay double. In one word; amazing. Chef Shireshm knows his stuff.More

The deep dish pizza is a unique thing to eat. Probably the first place in Kolkata which offers this item. However let me warn you - every dish here are very pricey. The deep dish pizzas come in two variations - individual (for 1) and...regular (for 2 or 3). The pizzas are filling. Yes. I'll admit. But one IND pizza is not enough for one person. One REG pizza or two IND ones will be sufficient for one hungry soul. So basically a big hole will be there in your pocket. The pasta we had - chicken spinoccoli was good but again very pricey. The pizzas we had were - (both IND size) Numero Uno and Chicago Meat Market both were good. Overall I'd say if you don't mind the pricetags do visit this place for a dinner with bae or friends. 10% service charge they take which is always not mandatory for anyone to pay (according to the Hon'ble Supreme Court). We got a BOGO offer so our dinner turned out to be a beautiful one followed by a movie at Swabhumi.More

We wanted to try some new joint and travelled other end to the city just to enjoy this new place. As we enter, it was a happy experience as the place has been done up very tastefully. The server were helpful but seemed to be...new.. the food we ordered had a distinct smell of oil. Also all the fries had excess oil. Soup was the only thing that tasted good amongst 4-5 dishes ordered. We re-ordered with the help of the server thinking may be we selected wrong dishes.. but it was just the same some distinct smell which we thought was end of dinner for that place.More

A touch of Chicago in Kolkata. I simply loved the atmosphere here. It is carved out of the Exit gate of Swabhumi, which used to be a go-to place for having an amazing evening hangout.  Right from the entrance, you can feel the liveliness of...the place. Neon lights, plush interiors, pipped music and cool, wintery air. What better can you ask for? The bar is well-decked, not with alcohol though. The open space and brilliant interiors give it a ecstatic look and feel. They have an immense seating place. One is on the outside with clear glass top gazebos, some tables here and there. Then there is a lounge on the second floor, totally covered. They are coming up with the rooftop as well, starting 25th December 2018. I personally loved the "I ♥ UNO" setup. Next plus is the well-trained, well-groomed staff. They are thorough with the menu, a point that is seldom a plus anywhere else. They are always on their toes. Coming to the food, the menu is very expansive and brings the famous Deep Dish Pizzas to Kolkata. We ordered the Pull-Apart Garlic Bread. The plating was done nicely to accommodate 6 buns. When it come to the name, you fancy something like a bread loaded with cheese. But this was not the case here. A small amount of cheese was topped ON the bun, baked and then served. No pulling apart here. Breads were dry. Next up was Skillet Parmesan Meatballs. As the menu read, "succulent" pieces of chicken, well, they were not. They were hard and dry. The meatballs lacked taste too. After a couple of average dishes, our expectations from Uno Chicago were dripping. Then came the Veggie Grilled Quesadillas. They were superb. The right taste with the right amount of fillings. The salsa and sour cream were perfect in taste. Must try. We also had the Classic Onion Rings. Nothing wrong with this one. Now heading towards the small plates, Pizza Skins was what we ordered. It was a miniature deep dish pizza, basically a pizza with mashed potatoes. The taste was good, but at some point of time, it would become too dry. For the finale, we had to lay our hands on the Deep Dish Pizza that they had invented, way back in 1943. We tried the Uno Cheese and Tomato. Talking about toppings on a pizza, and being a personal fan of Domino's Pizza (coz of their Cheese Burst Base ;) ), this was rather a completely different experience. So many things stuffed inside a pizza. They give it in 2 portion sizes, one being for an individual or the regular. The pizza tasted dry, i don't know why. Since alcohol licence has not been received yet, there are an array of mocktails on offer. The Pinacoladas here are to die for. To sum it up, ambiance and service are top-notch here. When it comes to food, even their signature dishes failed to impress. They might be making genuine quality dishes, but they need to understand the palate of people they are serving. We Indians, do not like our food bland and dry. A bit of spices can amp up the taste for these innovative dishes.More

My cousins are crazy about this chain, and keep Goin to the ones in Dubai. So they got me here, & I loved it. Very delicious starters, the deep dish pizza is a must try. Huge thumbs up to our server, Chandan. Chandan, was super...attentive, made some wonderful suggestions. Hope he gets the recognition he deserves. It's a new restaurant, so I suggest eveone to try it. PS - They have alcohol license for 30 and 31st December, as of now. By mid Jan, they will have the proper license, according to a staff member.More

It's a newly opened restaurant adjacent to Swabhumi. Visited with family and friends and had great time there. The beginning was bad with miscommunication for parking space. FYI they have valet parking or you can park just opposite of Swabhumi Inox. The ambiance is beautiful...with the touch of Amaerican casual dinners style inside an Indian heritage style building. For ambiance I'll give 4/5 Staff: Staffs are very helpful and carry polite specially Mr.Arijit. I'll give 5/5. Food: Bar was not open till that date . Food was good. Their specialty is 'Deep Dish' which is a pizza made differently and taste good. Rock Prawn Dynamite just rocked but hot wings were just average. For food I'll give 3.5/5 Over all experience 4/5 Hope to visit again. *One bad thing we've noticed: a small mouse was moving around on the staircase.More
