Goto place the moment you crave for bhajabhuji

This place is simply delicious. It's so old, that it's an establishment by its own right. And it makes some great anglo-bengali food. The best I believe in this tradition of great food in Kolkata. And one of the last sentinels of the teadition

It wasnt my planned visit to Mitra Cafe. I happened to be at Shovabazar and stepped into this small cafe looking for a bite for dinner. But it took me for a surprise with the diamond kabiraji! It is fish fried in a layer of egg and spices while leaving you with the original taste of fish. The look is... More

Its located at a stone's throw from the Sova Bazar metro station. This place is old, and with limited seating. You will have to share your table with strangers. There is a small ac room at the back. This place is famous, and has been famous for the last 4 or 5 decades for its kabiraji cutlets. They have cutlets... More

This place brings back old school Kolkata charm. Prices also remind you of the same, most expensive dish costing less than Rs 150. Quality is good as long as you stick to their signature dishes like kabiraji, fry, brain chop etc.

This is one of those quaint places that infrequent the streets of North Calcutta. Don't be put off by the way this place looks, that's the part of its old world charm. This place is often visited by the who's-who of Kolkata. The food quality has remained constant and it's always a pleasure to visit this place for a quick... More

This is a eatery which is an average local cafeteria. Seats are as tiny as possible to desperately increase the number of covers. But the crowd waits in the afternoon to gain entry the moment the doors are opened. The menu card is irrelevant as the customers are ready with their choices even before entering the joint. Most popular items... More

Mitra Cafe one of the vintage restaurant in North Kolkata. It is a very small restaurant. The taste of their cullets are really yummy. The seating arrangement is small, so it is difficult for getting a seat here during peak hours. Highly recommended.

This concern has 2 outlets, the oldest one on C.R.Avenue - Beadon street crossing and the other at Shyambazar beside metro station. You must hit the shop for its famous dish- fish kabiraji, prawn cutlet and mutton kabiraji. So, come and explore.

This is one of the oldest fast food shop in North kolkata. Decoration is not so good but I can tell food quality is really good.ols try fish and chicken kabiraji. Also mutton cutlets are really great. Service is quick but little crowded. Price wise I can say cheap.
