Finally we got a chance to have delectable food at Sonam's. We had hash brown, cheese omlette, pancakes etc and liked all of them. It is open from 8.30 a.m to 2.30 p.m. one of the best place in Darjeeling for brunch.

We had the most delectable pancakes at sonams kitchen; fluffy, soft and crunchy. Then the hashbrown is so perfect that im going back again. And Sonam herself is such a sweetheart; always smiling and telling stories about the mountains and how she started her small...venture by crossing all odds. The kitchen was closed for last 6 months due to lockdown but now its open from 8:30am - 1:00pm. Do visit and have the best pancakes on earth!!!More

Super cozy ambiance - clean and beautiful with tons of books. The coffee is excellent, and the pancakes are very tasty. We would have eaten there every day if they were open the whole time we were there.

Myself and my partner were drawn into Sonam's kitchen by the advertisement for real coffee. We didn't quite believe it but, yes it was genuine coffee, but what was even better was the amazing breakfasts here. Best I had in my time in Darjeeling, we...returned each day and tried everything on the menu! Fantastic food, clean, very neatly presented and well priced. We also stayed in Sonam's house, in one of the lovely cosy guest rooms. We could not have asked for better! Sonam and Puran, did their best to make sure everything was comfortable and when my partner was ill for a day there was cups of tea and hot water bottles given to make her comfortable. A very sweet touch. I would strongly recommend the accommodation to anyone for a very comfortable stay in the town centre.More

We came here twice after our first breakfast was AMAZING. The portions are massive and you won’t have to eat until dinner time! Not to mention the cheese is REAL, she gets it from Nepal. You can even hear her grating the potatoes fresh for...the hash browns. Sonam runs it by herself and sometimes her husband helps. In winter it takes some time to heat up, so it’s worth it to be patient. She also has a guesthouse which she uses the money to help university students in Darjeeling because she has no children. The coffee is also very fresh and she has the information of the only coffee roaster in Darjeeling that you can buy as a souvenir. If you’re looking for a proper American breakfast, this is the place!More

We loved it. There were 4 of us (Americans). We were first to arrive. We ordered about 6 dishes (hungry dudes). The shopkeeper was very welcoming and friendly. He got to work on our order. As he brought each one out we split them and...enjoyed every bite! The banana french toast was particularly excellent, but really everything was delicious. It was good American-style breakfast, with a twist of Darjeeling. Excellent food, great and cozy atmosphere, very friendly service. One minor thing to manage expectations... there was only one person cooking on a small stove. Each dish came out one at a time as it was ready. The people who arrived after us had to wait for all of our stuff to be cooked. So don't expect that there are 4 chefs in back cooking everything and getting it out all together. It is a simple operation, which to us was wonderful, but requires some patience. While we were there, travel blogger The Yellow Scarf was doing a review of Sonam's. I will be eager to look for his video review. Great spot! Don't miss it!More

Sonams is the best place for breakfast. They have it all. The combo meals are filling and best of all, taste great. And, the brewed coffee is right on a chilly morning. You should definitely sit down here!
