The place is not very hygienic. It's more like a mess than a fine dining restaurant. The food served was cold and not very nicely presented. If you do not know Tamil, you are in trouble as the staff could not explain what each item is.

Hotel Saravana Bhavan fully air-conditioned serves South Indian, Chinese and North Indian food which is lip-smacking and worth the money you pay for. They have a Gujarati dining hall in the basement which serves authentic Gujarati Thali meal(served on a stainless plate with little cups containing the entrees). The ambience is great and the service is excellent. The Thali meal... More

One of the reasons why chennai restaurants have become expensive is because of this chain of restaurants named "Saravana Bhavan". These people are trend setters for this thing. Initially they are quite successful because of the quality of food which they provide. Later people are flocking their restaurants overwhelmingly, so they hiked the prices. Other restaurants (which are of the... More

They have huge variety in their south Indian meals. It's very satisfying and has huge options to choose from. The service is decent and the ambiance better than any other branches I had been in.

We went to Saravana Bhavan which is located in Koyembedu near CMBT main entrance. Quality of food is simply awesome. If you want to eat best South Indian food in Chennai then this is the place. They also have many combos including Idly, Vada, Dosa, Pongal etc. The ambience is also good.

I have not been to Saravana Bhavan in over 5 years and this is the first time I did not have to wait for a table or get hurried into vacating the table. I ordered a mini Thali and the food was very good. Nothing fancy but filling food.

If you are in Chennai and if you are a vegetarian, looking for food, just visit any of the Saravana Bhavan restaurant. I felt at home. The food was amazing and taste was great. Cleanliness and great service by the staff will impress you. Best place in Chennai

It is a lunch experience which is very filling. But the quality needs to improve. If you are lucky and reach by noon it is served hot. In Chennai rates, around 100 for vegetarian lunch is worth. But sometimes you need to be hungry enough to finish the food.
