bademya now has a vegetarian cart 30m from the restaurant. also, two other places in the south mumbai. plus a catering/delivery if you are very lazy :) the prices as i hear, sky rocketed! for a veggie sandwich you need to pay 220rp. they are on a smaller side, so for example, if you are a guy, you need two.... More

If you are in South Bombay and in the mood for kebabs then Bade Miyan is the one of the best choice. Please note that it is a road side food stall which now has arranged seating in the opposite building. Very basic arrangements and many have their food in their cars. There are a couple of branches of this famous street b b q place but stick to the one that is directly behind the Taj Hotel at the gateway of India in Colaba. opens from evening 6 to weehours of the morning, the kababs and curries a must have, no seating generally one sits in the car and orders, the service quick but always very crowded. indian cuisine mughlai delicacies, more non veg choices

There are crazy crowds here late at night, and quite often they run out of the popular dishes. But it's quite a local legend and it does have some substance.

The place was recommended by friends from the US/Mumbai and we were glad w ate there, great experience, not expensive at all, love the food and the simple food. Great experience.

Had lunch here. The kebabs were exceptionally good and the biriyani also good. Staff polite and attentive. Not expensive either and would thoroughly recommend.
