Had dinner at this iconic restaurant and absolutely loved the food and their top class personalised service. I would like to mention the names of Manager Tapas, Senior Captain Michael and waiter Pratap for making our visit so memorable . . . . Top class...restaurant with top class service.More

We were told this was one of Mumbai’s most famous seafood restaurants and assumed it was going to be posh. IT WAS NOT. Lovely food in simple surroundings. We took our waiters recommendation and had the fish, the prawns and the crab. A lot of...food and really tasty. Not necessarily a place to linger, service was excellent but maybe a tad too fast for us personally.More

The restaurant is casual and clean. The place was crowded and the seating was a little tight. We ordered a large butter garlic crab, a Bombay duck which is a pan fried filet of fish and grilled jumbo prawns. Everything was all so tasty, especially...the crab which was covered with a generous amount of butter and garlic, finger licking good. The staff was friendly, attentive and efficient.More

I am not sure whether this is the same Trishna we went to. The telephone number on the menu is the one we called to make a reservation, although the address on the menu states Saibaba Marg, Kalaghoda, Fort Mumbai - 400001. In any case,...I will still give a review. There were 4 of us; it was our last evening in India; and we wanted to experience a seafood dinner. Our tour guide recommended this restaurant. It must be quite famous. and popular. So we made a reservation for 6:30 pm. It was a Monday evening, but the vicinity was crowded. Our Uber driver had a tough time trying to drive into the narrow lanes; so we got out at a small junction leading to the restaurant. It was a mistake because we promptly lost our bearings; the street was crowded with slow moving cars and they blocked our view of the restaurant sign which was not so prominent from afar. The restaurant was already half filled with locals and tourists, when we got there. Our waiter was Vishwanath. He was good and patient while we looked at the menu and asked a lot of questions. Because we have small appetites, we decided to order 3 dishes plus a rice.dish. The chicken biryani at 570 rupees was superb. A really huge jumbo crab and four jumbo prawns were brought to our table for us to choose. We declined the crab because it would be too messy to use our hands to eat it (it would have cost about 5000-8000 rupees depending on size). We selected 2 jumbo prawns for 1400 rupees , to be grilled with butter, garlic , and pepper; a regular pomfret in Cochin curry for 1850 rupees; and a spinach dish lasooni palak for 520 rupees. The mains were delicious , though we wished that the Cochin curry gravy could be less thin and more aromatic. However the fish was fresh and very meaty. Desserts for everyone were - a classic cassata , a vanilla ice cream, a kesar pista kulfi, and a malai kulfi. We also had a bottle of red wine - -Sula Satori - for 2000 rupees. All in all , our meal cost us, inclusive of taxes 7703 rupees.- We agree it was an evening well spent, with excellent service, good food, and very good local wine.More

Trishna is all about the superb food. We went twice last year and again when we re-visited Mumbai this year. If you want state of the art decor, modern furnishings then maybe try elsewhere. But if you want superb seafood, this is the place. Their...signature dish of pepper butter crab is lovely, but don't miss the Chilli and garlic squid or the amazing jumbo prawns (huge!) done any style. If you like seafood, GO!More

We visited with our friends on Sunday evening . Pleasant surroundings with usual narrow lane access as applies to Kala Ghoda Area. Starters of Bombil Fry , butterflied prawns in batter and koliwada squid were very nice and flavoursome. Pepper butter crab and Rawas in...green karipatta sauce with Neer Dosa rounded off our delicious meal . It’s highly recommended if you fancy fresh tasteful sea food .More

Visited for lunch, I loved the building and its character, you felt far away from the outside world when you were in here. The food was excellent, portions plentiful. Ensure to visit Trishna when you are in Mumbai.

We were advised by hotel, taxidriver and friends to have dinner here, so we did. The hotel concierge made the necessary reservation. The service was formal but OK, the information about the menu was fine. The food (of course we took the Butter Garlic Crab,...but also the local fish Fried Bombay Duck) was great. We took the small crab portion and shared it with the fish: more than enough for us (small eaters). Therefore the bill was very reasonable, € 35 for the two of us. The atmosphere is nihil, the service at par, the food great. This is a restaurant to eat your lunch or dinner, not to experience a lovely evening out.More
