I love this restaurant, the stuff is extremely friendly and you can eat over hours if you like. You pay 500 rupees, that's a fair price for all the food. Enjoy it :)

Whilst all the dishes they gave us werent delicious, it was a fun and great experience to try everything! The staff would mox your foods without asking and i thought that made it all the more authentic. A three course meal cost $10 and it was my favourite experience in mumbai!

It has been a while since i wanted to go to Thaker. Ever since i saw this place in the top ten restaurants in Mumbai, and figured out that this was the only one which was outside of a five star hotel in the list, I have been making plans. But a long trip from Powai to Crawford was the... More

Don't get put off by the approach road and the restaurant entrance. Once you find a seat in this aircon place get ready to hog. There is a fixed meal for Rs 500 with unlimited feasting on any and all items you like. So many options so you will definitely love few of them. My favourite is the Dahi (curd)... More

Undertook a long drive from suburbs to city having heard a lot about this restaurant. Between snacks which were good to desserts which passed muster, everything from dal to Kadi to cabbage veg was average. Unndiya was a big let down. The rotis and bhakris with dollops of ghee were however fresh but without accompaniments looked forlorn. Bottom line not... More

Here I was lucky enough to have a top tour guide in Mumbai who already knew about this little gem of a restaurant... we actually arrived when they were just closing but the staff here were super nice and wanted us to still join for dinner... The concept of this place is so good - you eat like a little... More

Good god and traditional , service excellent, food pure and tastely , with good specific taste , excellent place for wholesome veg food. Located in the byland of the crowded strret of Kabadevi in a old dipated building. Entrance not to liking, internal traditional, not the best, hygiene standard needs improvement, if with better hygiene standard the place can be... More

The owner talked us though absolutely every part of the meal, he was fantastic! And we all came out wanting more but couldn't physically fit any more in! The best meal I had in India over a 2 week trip. Please open on in London or HongKong!

Having visited this restaurant over 6 years ago I insisted on taking my family when we visited Mumbai for 2 days. The quality of the food is excellent. The variety of choice is second to none. The taste of the food is exceptional. I'm not a fan of all the dishes but there is more than enough variety to satisfy... More
