This place in town had me totally surprised. Such a change to try a new cuisine. Quality konkan food at it's best. Loved the mild soft paneer and the tomato soup. We got a complimentary cake too since it was my moms birthday. The bhindi was sooo different and so delicious. Amazing service too. I'm surely coming back.

Konkan cafe as the name suggest serves Konkani and coastal food. The minute you enter in to Konkan cafe one feels that you have taken a step in some South Indian place with the South Indian music in background. The pre set thali is delicious. And people who like non veg the sea food is just mind blowing. I'm veg... More

It may come as a surprise that Konkan Cafe, which is renowned for its coastal seafood also serves divine vegetarian food. We went with our dear friends who were vegetarian & we also decided to try and stick to a veg meal. We ordered a Veg Stew, Latande ki bhaji (long beans with curry leaves & mustard seeds), masala medu... More

The food is really good, being a vegetarian there were quite a few options of appetisers and mains. Great for family and friends.

We often visit this place with family for quite dinners. Every time we are here we fall in love with the food more and more. The restaurant treats us with vast variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. One can also try Thalis. Food actually goes very close to represent the different regions of Konkan, this in turn is complimented by... More

The Konkan Cafe at the Taj-President Hotel in Mumbai is worth every rupee ! The ambiance takes one to a Southern India eatery that is both relaxed and elegant. The seafood is the main focus here. Definitely try any of the prawn dishes. Flavored with a light coconut milk, the flavors are rich and complex with a medium amount of... More

Konkan Cafe is a real treat for coastal cuisine; and believe me this is not just sea food. There is plenty on the menu for vegetarians. I love the decor, it successfully creates the traditional Southern vibe desirous of the cuisine offered. Meals are served in copper plates and water is stored in copper vessels on each table. We were... More

Yes it does not serve Butter Chicken, yes it does not serve naan or tandoori Chicken in fact it will not serve any of the dishes which many specially the foreigners will associate Indian food with. It serves the cuisine from the coastal belt of western Indian also known as Konkan belt which start from Mumbai and stretch all the... More

Chef Ananda Solomon's Konkan Cafe is amazing. The meen pulicahathu and the ramasseri idlis are to die for. The chicken sukka is wonderful. The restaurant's interior is similar to a Kerala tarwad house and very attractive. this is a restaurant one can go to again and again,

There is really nothing more to say except that - EXCEPTIONAL!! The food - both vegetarian and non-vegetarian is par excellence. We had the non-veg thali and I cannot single out any one dish to review or criticise. The vegetarian fare was equally good - especially, the raw mango curry. In comparison, the desserts and cocktails were good, but not... More
