This restaurant was awarded for its "Mumbai Misal Pav "as the ‘The World’s Tastiest Vegetarian Dish" at the Foodie Hub Global Awards held in London in 2015. Local Maharashtrian cuisine at its best, misal pav, kothimbir wadi, thalipit, batata wada and piyush are my favourites here, all very reasonably priced. Its a busy restaurant during breakfast and dinner times, may... More

( Do try their sweet Kharvas) The Lineup outside the restaurant says the rest

Wada Paav,Misal paav or thalipeeth and all foods quintessentially Marathi at its best. Aaswad located diagonally opposite to the Sena Bhawan dadar serves some amazing snacks and is forever crowded .. hence make sure you account for the waiting time. Almost everything they serve is of great quality and good service too....Apparently the Misal served is a global name and... More

For years there was hardly any options for marathi food, except Vinay Lunch home and in dadar - Prakash. Aaswad has successfully filled the gap. Since Prakash got re-located and the the changed rude management, somehow the crowd shifted to Aaswad. Bigger place, more options to eat. Good food. Misal Pao, Bhaji Bhakri, Usal Pao etc, are my favorite. Little... More
