i loved the people at the restaurant. and that made the experience memorable. Their recommendations were excellent. Food was excellent. Service was quick.. There are few shortcomings though...The place is small and everyone needs to wait. The second shortcoming is the fact that the place doesn't accept credit cards. Cash is king. But, the place is well worth it. Try... More

Aaswad is a must-visit in Dadar. They serve absolutley great maharashtrian food, and the quality has remained unchanged over the years. Totally recommend their poha, misal, thalipeeth, dal rice and vangi-curry!

This place is always crowded around lunch and dinner time so expect 15-30min waiting time. The food itself is good at the Dadar branch but not up to the mark at their Ghatkopar outlet. The nearby Prakash restaurant is also worth checking out

The award for the best vegetarian dish for Aaswaad's Misal was surprising as my experience has always been downright disappointing. I decided to give it a try again thinking that something might have changed as they had won this prestigious award but to my belief it was still the same. The authentic Maharashtrian food is not at all Maharashtrian ,... More

With all the hype that was buzzed around the misal of aaswad I decide to give it a try. Had to wait for half an hour as the hotel is not that spacious. Thought that this wait would be honored with great misal. Well misal was good but definitely not worth the wait. The taste is average. I ordered vada... More

This place has been there for a long time and is pretty consistent with the quality of food and service. It serves Maharashtrian Cuisine ( can't say authentic cos the taste and presentation of the same preparation vary depending upon which region of Maharashtra you are talking about !). The food is tasty and comes very close to Home Cooked... More

Even around 3 pm today, it is crowded and we have to wait for 30 minutes to get seats. the ambience is noisy, but airconditioned. service is not quick, to match the crowd waiting for seats outside. we ordered MISAL PAV, It was served after 10 minutes. the taste of the same is very good and hot. Pav is ok... More

Incredible food. Extremely clean, hygienic and tasty home like food is available here. The ambience is very pleasant and you can visit here with your family and friends. The service is also excellent. This place is always full no matter what time of the day it is, one always has to be in queue in order to be able to... More
