Having been to the city center and disappointed that the relic Das Prakash is down under renovation, we were searching for a replacement. Then spotted this Shilpashree and checked out. Overall decent seating, decent meal and reasonably priced.
Tasty food, resonably priced menu (veg. and non veg., mostly North Indian, Chinese and continental), very helpful staff and fast service. Great dinner place with a lovely terrace overlooking Ghandi Sq. Very much recommended.
The main attraction of the Shilpashree is it's rooftop bar, overseeing the old bank road at centre of the city. You can have a cold beer, but I thought the foo mediocre. But it's worth the visit for the view.

Lovely rooftop location. Great to look out over the town while you eat.
Entrance is narrow and shabby but upstairs is bright, clean and airy. Pot plants all around add atmosphere.

Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Amazing food. Most definitely the best meal I've had in India.The flavours were incredible. Would definitely recommend the Aloo dishes, the prawn dish and the creamed vegetables.
