This hotel is very impressive but could do with a bit of tlc. In its time is was obviously a very expensive and lavish place to stay. It's in nice grounds and gives you the feeling of stepping back in time. A nice place to go and have a look at but in my opinion there are nicer places to... More

We just visited Lalith Mahal palace post breakfast. Buffet break fast spread was decent not very huge. But we took a pot tea and sat on a table.. Outside place is very nice. Expensive and tea was nothing great. But experience is worth it

We were a bit sceptical about having lunch here as it is about 5x more expensive than a 'normal' restaurant, but we figured it would be a great one off experience, and it was ! We were the only people eating in the restaurant, which was kind of a shame, but it was during monsoon season, so no surprise it... More

This is a magnificent building, and the dining room probably could seat 500 diners. But we were the only two persons there! It was very disappointing because it should be a popular place with a lovely atmosphere, but it's not. It feels more like dining in a mortuary than a palace. I would suggest coming for afternoon tea instead of... More

The best place to enjoy the typical royal lunch. amazing palace though it's a converted into a hotel, one can often bump into some movie shooting and if lucky can catch up some known actors of south Indian cinema. fantastic food, amazing spread, great ambience overall a worth the money visit.

Visited the palace with 100 rs entry ticket. Very limited area to be covered inside the palace for visitors. Most of the palace was under painting and renovation work. Could not see the finest view of the palace.

The hotel is really beautiful with high ceilings, wide corridors lined with beautiful paintings. The restaurant with its domed skylights and high ceilings is really a must visit. Everything in the hotel is beautiful and heritage except when you come to service which is practically non existant. Maintenance of bathrooms which are leaky have not been attended. So If you... On 30th May'16 had been to the palace restaurant along with my wife to have evening coffee and snacks. That was the first visit of mine to palace restaurant. Inspite of negative reviews thought of visiting once. ! They charge Rs.100/person at the entrance gate, for which you get a so called free coffee/tea (along with cockroach). ! Found nothing... More

This magnificent structure requires no mention and it's a treat to the eyes. Standing tall amongst all structures and second only to the Mysore Palace this is a masterpiece. However it has been in the wrong hands. I have always believed government has no business to be in the business of hospitality and LMPH is a fine example. It has... More
