We had buffet lunch here on Christmas Day. I made the mistake of selecting turkey. It was a bit tough. However every vegetable dish was delicious. The hotel is beautiful and there are dozens of kites flying around in the grounds. We don't see them at home so we spent about 20 mins watching them after lunch. I have no... More

We stopped by the Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel for dinner and because we weren't staying there, we were charged 300rs to enter. Found out that dinner didn't start until 8:00, but we could have tea free of charge (actually using the 300rs entry fee). We were able to order at 7:30 so that we could eat when the restaurant opened.... More

This hotel is very impressive but could do with a bit of tlc. In its time is was obviously a very expensive and lavish place to stay. It's in nice grounds and gives you the feeling of stepping back in time. A nice place to go and have a look at but in my opinion there are nicer places to... More

We were a bit sceptical about having lunch here as it is about 5x more expensive than a 'normal' restaurant, but we figured it would be a great one off experience, and it was ! We were the only people eating in the restaurant, which was kind of a shame, but it was during monsoon season, so no surprise it... More

This is a magnificent building, and the dining room probably could seat 500 diners. But we were the only two persons there! It was very disappointing because it should be a popular place with a lovely atmosphere, but it's not. It feels more like dining in a mortuary than a palace. I would suggest coming for afternoon tea instead of... More

The best place to enjoy the typical royal lunch. amazing palace though it's a converted into a hotel, one can often bump into some movie shooting and if lucky can catch up some known actors of south Indian cinema. fantastic food, amazing spread, great ambience overall a worth the money visit.

Visited the palace with 100 rs entry ticket. Very limited area to be covered inside the palace for visitors. Most of the palace was under painting and renovation work. Could not see the finest view of the palace.
