Was recommended highly to try this iconic restaurant . Took the subway and got off close to red Fort and walked . Walked through markets and a Sikh temple and got closer to the red Fort . And after inquiring where Karins was I finally...found the place . It was 11 am in the morning could see people making naans and then there was a eatery close by . Sat down , there were a couple of people eating . Ordered tea was told they didn’t have any except Payal and naan . The payal arrived and it was nothing but a watery soup with bones not even a molecule of meat or anything . The naan bread was warm and soft . Dipped my bread and had it . Nothing special about the food . Nothing inspiring , didn’t think it was worth taking the trouble to come for this . There were some signs showing when this restaurant started . I left took some pics and made my way back . Unfortunately within 45 minutes I realized my stomach giving way and had to find the nearest washroom to relieve myself . I walked in desperation , minutes felt like hours and finally found the restaurant , went to the washroom to find I had Diahrea . All from eating that Payal and naan bread . Never again . Karims you will never make me forget . Most probably cooked in unsanitary conditions for to get an upset stomachMore

This was my third visit to Karim's. There is something iconic about this restaurant that pulls us here. If you’re a first-timer, ask anyone & they’ll be able to guide you to Karim’s. On our recent visit, we’d Chicken Curry, Mutton Qorma, Mutton Seekh Kebab,...& Tandoori Roti. All the dishes were well-made. This place should definitely be visited once. Don't expect a fancy restaurant. Be ready to jostle in the lanes of Old Delhi and you'll be rewarded for it.More

The burra kebab was just average. It was served burnt. Shermal was also nothing great. There are other places on Delhi which is serving better food than them.

Right across Jama Masjid, savoring the tandoori food is phenomenal. Afghani Chicken, Mutton Seek Kebab, Nihari, Tandoori Roti and THE CHICKEN BURRAH! All are a must. Chicken Burrah is the best smoked chicken I've had till now. Meat lovers - especially mutton and beef dishes...are just for you! Do not forget eating here at least once before leave for your hometown :)More

I had read about Karims in my Eyewitness travel guide to India. We had spent the morning with full on sightseeing at the Fort, then through the bazaar so were definitely ready for a break and sustinence. Finding your way through the bazaar is a...challenge but we made it and found a table upstairs where it was quieter and you could look down on the action. The food came quickly and was excellent, really tasty and fabulous value. Less than £10 for 3 for a great meal. No other tourists here.More
