Delectable food in a cosy little restaurant. The carrot and ginger soup was lovely, and each of our main dishes was superb. We had a prawn cocktail, a lamb shank and a salmon dish, followed by excellent puddings and tarts.

The food along with the service was outstanding. I throughly enjoyed myself and experienced a great time with the staff. The place really stood out of me as one of the best cafes I have been to in Delhi. Looking forward to visiting many more...times in the future!More
This had been on our list since a long time and finally we made it. It's a small bakery and cafe in Lodhi Colony but the place as well as the staff look outdated! That needs a change since there is so much competition all...around. We started with Grilled Chicken and Chicken Croissant, both of them being decent. Next Up was Pancakes and Chicken Arrabiatta Pasta. While the Pancakes came a bit burnt, the Pasta was nice, though we were surprised why would they get us those pancakes when they were not done proper. Got it changed and it was better then. Cold Coffee was decent while tea was really good. But at the end, you are left craving for more from the food as well as the experience for the price you pay.More
It’s a nice and bright restaurant and the food was good. We had the retro Prawn cocktail, followed with an excellent Rosemary, Thyme and Garlic infused Camembert and the Grilled Chicken Steak for the Mains. Just a small suggestion, pl repair your main door as...it doesn’t close fully and guests sitting close by get a blast of cold air from outside!More
Elma’s has been in Meherchand Market for several years now; till recently, this brasserie spread in a somewhat cramped space across two floors, with most of the seating on the upper floor and the lower one being dedicated to the bakery display, though there were...a couple of tables here too. A couple of months back, my husband and I discovered that Elma’s had been revamped and renovated, and was now a more stylish place than the formerly quaint and somewhat Victorian tea-room style. We stopped by here for coffee and cake late one morning. The restaurant is up a couple of steps from street level, and is a small, cozy and pleasant place, the modest size of it being counteracted somewhat by the mirrored walls and the windows that look out onto the tree-lined street outside. Elma’s offers a range of food items, all the way from big dishes like grills and pastas, pies, and the like to smaller snack-like items, like mezze platters, finger sandwiches, and so on. One of Elma’s best features is their range of teas: high tea and cream tea, for instance, with the works—sandwiches, biscuits, scones with cream and preserves. We were at the wrong time for one of these teas (they’re only served in the late afternoon), but we decided to compensate by having a couple of snacks along with our French press. Between my husband, I, and our daughter, we ordered a French press (one serving consists of two cups), a coffee cake, a sausage roll, and a fresh lime water. The coffee cake was easily the best coffee-flavoured cake I’ve had anywhere: a very soft, beautifully moist coffee-flavoured sponge that’s soaked in a liquid (coffee syrup? No idea) and then topped with a gentle, not-too-excessive, not-buttery coffee-flavoured icing. Simply spectacular and an absolute must-have if you like coffee. The sausage roll was a pork sausage (a frankfurter) covered with a thin layer of caramelized onions and then wrapped in pastry and baked to a golden. I liked the proportion of sausage to pastry: it was just right, with more of the sausage and less of the pastry. I would have liked more caramelized onion, but even as it was, it was good. The mustard that came alongside this was excellent, good and pungent the way a nice wholegrain English mustard should be. We paid Rs 1305 for our meal. I’d call that expensive, but given the location, and the fact that the quality, at least, was very good—I’d recommend Elma’s for a treat.More
The thing about high expectations is they have a tendency to disappoint! Well that was probably the case with Elma's for me. Well, let's be honest it probably started when I realized Merherchand market is really Lodhi Colony :( My previous experiences of restaurants here...has been above par for sure. Well, as we entered, my friends told me about the place and that this place was earlier Diva, though they seemed to think the decor was still from the earlier place. You see where this is headed. My mushroom melt sandwich was nothing to write home about, my friend's pie didn't look appetising enough while the grilled veggies were good and the pizza wasn't bad. The dessert, caramel something was the best of the lot. Apart from celebrity spotting, Subramanian Swamy in a crisp pink kurta and security outside, this place didn't inspire as much as was expected.More
The food was delicious and they had a very nice selection. The service was very friendly and very good. The was a very good place to stop for a bit after walking in the heat.
It is a beautiful cafe. The one that I went to is in Meherchand market, close to Habitat centre. Pastries, cakes and savouries are all very nice. But what I would really love from them is to have a few more options in coffee. Basically...they only have French press coffee for those who wanted hot coffee. A few more options here would surely make it unputdownable.More
We went there on New years eve and was surprised to see it near empty. We ordered boscialo thin crust pizza which was ok - neither too great nor bad. For pasta we had penne tomato mascarpone which was not good as the pasta was...too raw and we had to send it back to be redone again. We also had the fresh asparagus risotto which was the only thing which was really good. Though the place was near empty the service was not good.More
We visited Elma's Brasserie for high-tea and preferred the vegetarian version. Our package came with a selection of wonderful sandwiches (olives, sun-dried tomatoes, etc.), scones (highly recommended) with jam and cream, and an assortment of cakes and pastries. We requested for a freshly made chai...(instead of the tea bag), which was ok. The service is excellent and the overall ambiance is relaxed.More
Elma bakery has shifted from its earlier location to a few shops down the street. The ambience is relaxed and the service is good. the food however is slightly expensive, my iced tea was good but my pasta arrabitta was dry and a little too...garlicky. they have a nice collection of breads and cakes but i have seen better choices available at some other places.More
Elma's is a tiny little place tucked away in Meherchand market, Lodhi Colony. I had a roasted chicken platter, wherein roasted chicken pieces were served with hummus, pita bread and pickled vegetables. The taste was superb. I topped it with their red velvet cake slice...which is to die for. This was my first red velvet cake and it was awesome. It is a bit on the pricey side, but the menu is wide ranging and good for a quick lunch. The portion of chicken was sufficient for 1 person.More
A very quaint place with very limited seating. However, the food is awesome and the service is top class. I love their mashed potatoes and pasta. The cakes , brownies and pastries are fantabulous. If you are OK with a small cafe, definitely visit this...one.More
This is a small little cafe, but don't let the little entrance fool you. It is a gateway to some amazing Arabic delights. Have been there a couple of times and loved their hummus, and the veg mezze platter. They have some extraordinary desserts too....Salt and caramel pastry is served with fresh cream... Your taste buds would yearn for it over and over again... Would have liked the place to be a little bit more spacious but in any case. Also the washroom is sealed. I find that terrible but then that is the case with many of the eateries in Delhi. Government, really need to find a solution rather than simply turning a blind eye and sealing the places. Basic amenities, as the name suggests are basic and must not be compromised. Because, even though it is the commercial entities that have been flouting the norms, at the end of the day it is the common citizen who bears the brunt! Would suggest, that they train their staff better.More
it is always a pleasure to eat at elma's. the food is fantastic, and not just one or two dishes but each time i have eaten there i have enjoyed all the dishes i had. the service is also very good and the beer is...not expensive ( not cheap either ) all in all a great place to go for good food and good conversations.More
