Easily the best food on any of the islands! Heck the best food I had in all of Panama! Whether you're a vegan or carnivore, they gotcha covered! everything we ordered was fantastic and we literally ordered everything on the menu! and lets not forget...the cocktails! oh man, the firefly drink was way to good! might have had one too many of those! And don't forget dessert! Chocolate bread pudding is not to be missed! And I didn't even mention the views! you're right on the water! If you're looking for a great place to eat, look no further!More

We had two amazing dinners at The Firefly. It was an adventure just finding the place, don't be discouraged by the trail that is seemingly leading you to the middle of nowhere, if you keep walking you will find this hidden oasis in the jungle....I'm a "vibe" person and this restaurant was SO vibey. It's right on the ocean, you can hear the waves crashing as you enjoy your meal. They have amazing cocktails, and each one is named after a memorable guest that has stayed at the hotel. We were joking about what it would take for us to get our name on the cocktail list. All the dishes are shareable, so between the four of us, we ordered almost everything on the menu. The red and green curry were both amazing. And the chocolate bread pudding dessert was unreal. We're still talking about it now that we're back home. As well, the restaurant is very clean which was a refreshing change from some of the establishments we'd eaten at. And the bathrooms were pristine. We were staying at the Red Frog Hotel and this was by far our favourite restaurant of our five night stay. In fact, we ended up going back for a second night. A definite MUST when you're in Bocas Del Toro.More

Not easy to reach in the dark, but lovely at the seashore. Tai curry with shrimps and chicken which was dillicious . For the islands the price is rather high but everything freshly made

My boyfriend and I enjoyed their special four course Valentine’s Day dinner special this year. The couple who own the place were telling us different things about the first course, a curry soup. One said that both the vegetarian version and original version were made...with a shrimp base and the other said the vegetarian version was made with a tomato base. I the vegetarian tried the “vegetarian” soup and my boyfriend the original. The following day we both ended up with food poisoning. The only source it could be from is the soup. The food was tasty, but not worth the $35+ just to get food poisoning. I hope all of the other couples didn’t have the same pain as we had.More

Hi Savannah, Thank you for joining us for our Valentines day! Our soup is a Thai tomato coconut soup. It’s very popular and made daily. Seeing as you had the vegetarian option, yours was made specifically to order and solely for you when you ordered,...More

When you travel around the world every so often you come across a culinary diamond. The Firefly restaurant is one of them! We were fortunate to stay at The Firefly B&B with friends and being foodies from Portland this place was top notch! It's a...Thai-Caribbean tapas menu, chalkboard style so you know they use the freshest ingredients and all locally sourced. We tried everything on the menu eating there 3 times and doubled up on our favorites. The Mango Ribs were my ultimate dish, while my gf couldn't decide between the Coconut Ginger Gnocchi or the Green Curry. Your tastebuds will keep leading you back. The ambiance, lighting, and service make this THE go to spot in Bocas!! Get yourself a Firefly cocktail while you're there (or any cocktail, they're dreamy!!)More

Just got back from our 3rd time at the Firefly this trip. Kevin and Michelle do an amazing job. They are so friendly and helpful with local information. The setting is gorgeous, right on the water with the waves crashing, sunset in the background. The...food is delicious. Servings are small, tapa style so if you are a big eater, order 2 things. You can’t go wrong. We had the red curry which was rich and not too spicy The Thai chicken salad is refreshing, the tempura veggies are crisp with 2 great dipping sauces. My husband particularly liked the popcorn fish and the gnocchi was sooo different and delicious. Oh, the ceviche is really good too. Everything is seriously yummy.More

We were staying right down from the Firefly, so naturally we walked down to eat there. The atmosphere was wonderful. Menu is limited, but could be the time of year. Served Tapas style, so portions are small. I got the calamari and fish bites. Wife...had a thai chicken salad. Calamari and fish bites were wonderful, but could have been a little more. Wife's salad was average. All in all, I'd go back because it was good.More

The food is delicious, BUT I would have to eat every single dish on the menu to even be close to satisfied. TINY portions even though they mentioned tapas style, way overpriced for each dish. Not to mention the guitarist they have playing which you...are obliged to pay (in donations) not them. The location was nice, make sure you take a flash light for the return.More

We had the best calamari with the best views of the waves at This place. Watching the surfers with a cocktail while enjoying Some snacks was the best!

We had dinner here a saturday in July, a family of four, kids 12 and 9 years old. The food is excellent, very high end and something you might expect to find at expensive restaurants in major cities around the world. The setting is very...relaxed, directly by the sea, providing amazing sunsets vistas. We only ate here at night but if we come back to this area, they also provide accomodation. If you are staying in Bastiementos I would highly recommend this place for dinner.More
