We ate here our last night in Ita Thou and it was our best meal. Food was quickly prepared and reasonably priced. They have English and Mandarin menus and pictures. We loved the fried tofu, the greens with the egg on top, the deer with greens, the chicken with ginger. All top notch. Honestly the only disappointment was the fried... More

We ordered 4 dishes, deep-fried dofu, stir-fried egg, stir-fried 3 seafoods, and stir fried vege. The price is reasonable, and everything is so tasty! I'll definitely come again in the future.

We found this hotel via Tripadvisor and were greatful because this village is empty in the evening and not much to do. We followed the five course menu - the best ever. Another surrounding and you would have payed five times more. We didn't mind the bald atmosphere, enjoyed the food and some beers. By the way in Taiwan you... More

The restaurant (also spelt Fu Yuan) offers a good selection of dishes as well as several set menus. Our group of three ordered their five dish menu (with small portions) for 1100 TWD and had a hard time finishing it all. Recommended.

Our bed& breakfast host recommended this restaurant to us and the food was indeed great. Not only were the dishes tasty, various menu are very creative and used local food. The price is cheaper than the ones on the main street and the portion is bigger. Make sure you order pumpkin wild boar.

Visited on night before typhoon soudelour hit. Had pumpkin wild boar (南瓜山猪肉), stir fried deer, and wild veggie (paku). Meal was about nt790. The taste was well balanced. Would recommend for dinner if you are in the area. Note: the restaurant name is actually Fu Yuan (富园).

We had the 4 dish set which included lily broth, a whole fish, seasonal fiddleheads in black bean sauce, wild boar and chinese celery dish, and drunken chicken, plus an extra stir fried cabbage dish. Service was speedy, everything was delicious, and price was moderately low. They have a variety of other dishes. I could eat here every night.

Exactly what we were after a big day travelling. The staff were absolutely lovely and helpful, the meals were ample and we ended up ordering a bit too much. The food was fresh and tantalising. It was also good to get a taste of more delicate traditional fare before e cutting loose on the street stalls. Yum

This place was recommended to us by our B&B, apparently they order food from here, which was a good sign. They had an English menu, which helped a lot. One of the waitresses also spoke some English. All the dishes were pretty good with our favorites being the fried Tofu stuffed with vegetables, and the greens cooked in fermented bean... More

We really struggle speaking no Chinese when trying places like this, the lady bought us some pictures to choose from and an English speaking Chinese lady helped us a little. Nice spot, really loved the tofu fried with herbs in batter it was delicious and a full meal for two including a beer was NT$260 so good value
