Basic environment / street food, friendly staff and good Sri lankan food at descent prices. Local people also eat there so that's a good sign.

This was one of our best meals of the vacation and it was cheap as chips. The name might put Donald Trump off visiting but we loved it. Tasty kothu and mango lassi all round. A real 'local' place in a great location near the temple and lake.

Really nice place, right on the roadside by the clock tower which means its loud, busy and feels like you're right in the heart of the city. The dishes we had were great, though i hear everything is so order without reservation. I would recommend dinner at 8:30 ish or an afternoon lunch to get the most of the atmosphere

We enjoyed eating here. The food was fresh and tasty, and the men preparing and serving the food were all cheerful. Well worth a visit when in Kandy.

Such good food. They do have silverware but its fun to join in and eat with your right hand. Alot of locals. Very friendly. Was so good we ate there twice which is saying alot for a city as big as Kandy. We had the veggie egg Rottu which is like a stir fry of pieces of naan. We also... More

messy, loud, sweaty and spicy all this adds up to an awesome experience at one the best known secrets in Kandy. Try the beef samoosas - they are divine

My husband had beef biriyani which he found to be ok because we bangladeshis are used to a different taste of biriyanis I had some samosas which were good We met some fellow tourists who were nice enough to share their food. It looked like a paratha with meat and potato fillings and it tasted nice! Must visit!

The food is unique! And worth a try! But our waiter lumbered around and clearly did not want to be there. He was extremely unfriendly and less than helpful. I went and got my own drinks and even went to the kitchen to order another dish!

If you want something quick and local go here. I had a great kottu, 2 pastries and a very sweet milky tea!! All cost less than £2!!!! They also do Sri Lankan and some Indian type foods...worth a trip for sure!!

My boyfriend won't stop going on about the dinner we had here! It was great. Real good food, served on big silver plates. Casual service, the place is plastic chairs, noisy and busy. Go with the expectation of street food, and you will have a great time. Also, we went on a Sunday and they were closing at 8pm.

Thank Frances L
